Allen, at center in 2021, was not great---not an All-pro, he was a Pro Bowl
alternate---so pretty good....and was the 5th rated center by PFF, not
great but pretty good
As for game to game---Shelton did better
in 2021 than 2020 but he had scores
of 67, 63 and 50 for total of 58
Allen was 80 and even had some blue and green games
With a Cameron DeSilva article - well, he was
talking about a fill-in...not who the better player
was.
In the past there is no comparison, Allen is better than Shelton.
However, that is not always guaranteed for the FUTURE
Shelton could improve, show his athleticism, play better
and win the job...but if Rams are looking for an upgrade
at center they better play Avilia there.
And if they do that, they have to have confidence that
their guards can play well...
But if you go by past performance Allen is plenty better
than Shelton.
Allen's issue is he cannot stay healthy.
