I hope it goes without saying that this ranking has to do with OTAs and drills when no pads and no hitting were going on.
I can't imagine how one can rank OL or DL in that kind of format, other than perhaps what she saw as far as how the coaches set up the lines as "1's", "2's" and various combos.
Also remember that both Noteboom and Bruss have been at limited participation coming off injuries. So, even less time for them to practice.
That said, I appreciate Jourdan and think she is observant, and has the ability to see what is happening in situations that we don't. She hears the players talking and the coaches reactions. She's sharing what she can.
.
It is simply reporting what is known now. And we learn what he can. But things are fluid - which is what you are saying.
Guys who were hurt last year are not going to get the reps...so does not mean what she is saying now is the final thing.
But, also, as you note she is light years ahead of the fans who give opinions based on nothing. They post articles on some rumor they saw on Twitter
--not all of them, not all the time, and some of them are better than others...but if they were in LA, they could get a press pass if they wanted
and could go to some practices...or maybe they can't.
But compared to other opinions, she has gravitas and I think most appreciate her knowledge. She gets tons of compliments on Twitter
and on comments on the Athletic and when people ask her questions she had good solid answers. She does not play favorites and
has more football knowledge than most national writers...what makes her special is she is curious about what she covers.
She is always learning, asking, increasing what she knows. That is a huge plus.
But to your point---yeah...when the guys who were hurt last year start to get healthy enough then we will see who the starters are.
I am for whoever the best five are...and this is one year we really don't know - only 2 guys are for sure starters...
