Here's the critical bit: She's developed great rapport with the Rams organization precisely because of her integrity in protecting confidentiality and not going out of bounds, and if she betrayed it, SHE'D LOSE ACCESS.
..
and only access to practice . . . and she cannot report (not can ANYONE) specifics of the practice. Generalities? Sure.
It's a misunderstanding of what is going on. 32 of 32 teams do this.
If she wrote a negative story, say some Rams player got caught gambling - just as hypothetical - and Snead and
McVay covered it up and she reported it - they could not take her credential, they could not touch her.
If Jackson and Noteboom are fighting it out for left tackle before week 1 and she reports that Jackson is running
with the first team and the team has not accounced it then she can lose access to practice.
Rams may want the opponent's DE to have to prepare for both tackles (maybe their style is different)
Or she says who is the Star in the 5-1 and the other team can use that infor to put in a play to take advantage
of that guy - and maybe in the 4-2 there is a different star and she reports it...it can help the other
team.
You have got it right. It's pretty simple.
