It has been many years since we've had as good and pragmatic Rams' writer as Jourdan.
o
She has had a lot of experience and time to compare players, plays, coaches, etc. to. A lot more than any of us.
She has access to info we don't have, and has said often that some of it she can't share. And because she stays true to her word, the Rams' brain trust clearly has a level of trust in her that they will share with her info knowing that if they don't want it repeated, she won't.
She didn't say these guys were going to be starters, good players, anything like that. But rather, that she is impressed either with how they are doing, or with the implied pleasure of the coaching staff with those players because of how and how much they are being deployed. And yes, these are early indicators that as a fan I enjoy hearing about. No hyperbole, just sharing what she observed.
Criticism comes with the position. She is in the public eye and presents stuff to the public so there are bound to be some who aren't going to like her stuff as much as others do. It's all good.
I am glad you think It has been many years since we've had as good and pragmatic Rams' writer as her. I just don't see anything special from her.
IMO, she is no better than most of the other shills that covered the Rams over the years. What is it that you see that seperates her from the others in your opinion?
She may have a lot of "experience and time to compare players, plays, coaches, etc." than any of us do and also "has access to info we don't have, and has said often that some of it she can't share" but IMO not any more than the others that came before her.
I really don't see any difference between her and "most" of the others who did her job prior to her.
I am sure she is a smart girl and a great person and all that but I am not concerned with who Jourdan Rodrique is "impressed with" during OTA's. lol Her (a paid shill) being "impressed" means very little to me. Not sure she is really qualified to judge any players better than anyone else doing the same job.
Is it fun to read? Sure. Does it really mean anything that she was impressed? Not really. Did she play football? Did she study it in college or was her Major in becoming a "Reporter"?
No hard feelings Rock. We just disagree and I am not saying you are wrong. It's just our own opinions and I ALWAYS respect yours!
It's all good brother! I am very glad you enjoy her work!
BTW Rock, who would you say was the last "good and pragmatic" beat writer we had before her?
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
