Agreed db - and her shortie is so much better than the speculative longies based on rhetorical questions and last year's stat sheets but with no eye contact that we get from some of the others. Soap opera stuff.
Other issues, in order as they impress me:
I find her being impressed with Anchrum a relief. He's been in the system for a while and may be ready to step into an increased role. She'll let us know more as she's able. This is just one day's observations, granted, but she mentions Avila and Anchrum - no mention of Bruss. Avila and Anchrum flanking Allen as the vet playing playing center and these guys as guards is something I'd like to see. Shelton becomes the utility OL guy, ready to step in for Allen.
Next on her list, Puka. Hmmm... I'll file that one away. Intrigue in the receiver room.
Next, Fuller. I'm relieved. We need a revitalized safety corps.
Next, Tanner Engle? Who is Tanner Engle? How does an unknown (to me) sneak onto the list above names I expected to see? (I'll have to look him up after I post this. Otherwise I'd still not know who he is.)
Kyren Williams is mentioned and the rookie running backs are not? I expected great things from Williams last year. Maybe we'll see them this year. He's a force in pass pro.
Then Jones and Avila? I think the year with Bobby Wagner was an apprenticeship for Jones that we'll see bear fruit this season. Jourdan's mention helps confirm that. Her mention of Avila confirms what think we know already. I look for him to be a stud from day one, and get better from there.
