OK
You're not down with JR
But, I have to ask
Who else do you read for news, updates, and cogent thoughts as a journalist covering the Rams?
Just wandering my thoughts about news sources, and I guess one could reap sufficient stuff from Twitter, but what a task.
And it's all short form.
In her behalf, I need to add that she does this as woman in a dominantly male backdrop. In, and of itself, a known rough road. Plenty of these players are not endearing sorts. In fact, many take pride in being nasty: On and off field. I'll shame myself further. She's a well educated lass, and I've had to go to the dictionary to discover what the word meant that she used.....er more than once.
Grant you don't care for her, but for me, she's a rare bird.
I get my info from MANY different sources leaf and at this time of year I take them all with a grain of salt. lol
I have followed the Rams for a VERY long time and for me, there just isn't anything special about her. Her articles are ok but nothing special we haven't seen from anyone else before her.
IMO, she doesn't really give us any real "substance" and I get she is a "shill" for the Rams and under contractual limitations. It just might be those "limitations" that "limit" my opinion of her contributions. I would love to read her stuff with NO limitations attached to her writing.
As for being a 'woman in a man's world", sorry, but I don't see that as an excuse. She chose this profession. It is what it is.
When it comes to using words we have to "look up" in articles, that doesn't impress me either. Sorry. So she had time to look up those "big words" herself before posting her stuff just as most writers do.
Just as we've seen here on this board, being able to research things and then posting them doesn't mean they are smart. They just might be good at researching things. lol
I do enjoy reading her stuff too but as I said, I would never pay for a shill's opinion when that opinion is limited due to her employment with the people she is writing about and her stuff is very inconsistent IMO. She'll come up with some good stuff now and then and I am sure she is a well educated young lady and a great person BUT she is still being paid by the team she writes for. Without them, she doesn't have a job, so her info only carries so much weight with me.
I don't begrudge anyone who likes her stuff and is even willing to pay for it. That's their right. Just like it's my right to not pay for it.
Thankfully we have MANY options when it comes to reporting so everyone can be happy! Isn't America great???
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
