I like what the Rams did with the draft and the new coaching staff. Ryan Wendell (OL Coach) will be working diligently to get to have the pick he wanted Avila ready at RG. Aubrey Pleasant comes back just in time to help develop a secondary that needs a voice & direction. Tomlinson needs to not be a grabby at this level plus working with Rochell & Shaun Jolly to make them better too.
New Special Teams Coordinator Chase Blackburn is building his unit from the ground up literally. Ethan Evans is his prize pupil, who not only will be the punter, but will kickoff too. Former Navy Assistant Joe Coniglio is new to the NFL let alone the Ram coaching staff and he has his work cut out for him working with the Outside Linebacker group. Not onlyu with the like of 3 new draft choices in Bryon Young, Nick Hampton & Ochaun Mathis, but the continue development of Michael Hoecht & Daniel Hardy will also be on display.
Veteran Collegiate RB Coach Ron Gould also makes his debut in the National Football League and will not only be working with new draft choice Zach Evans, but Kyren Williams has just a year under his belt and many feel that UDRFA Tiyan Evans has some major upside too along with ensuring Cam Akers is focused to provide the consistency all of us are hoping for.
New OC Mike LaFleur spoke about patience and as Ram fans over the past couple of years, we have not had to deal with that, but after last season and the injury count, we welcome the depth plus the hope that the new coaching staff continues to teach & develop as we hope to watch them grow week in & week out not only during training camp, but come September Morn.
