Dickerson also left on bad terms too, just like KW did. Bot KW and ED did historical things for the Rams franchise but only ED got his number retired. Seems odd to me.
ED seemed to "make up" with the Rams. Even becoming an "Ambassador". Something KW didn't seem interested in doing.
Is there more to the KW/Rams story that we don't know? I bet there is. It's almost a "slap in the face" to KW by us not retiring his number but I doubt he cares.
Dickerson is more than just an Ambassador. Since he's on the Rams administrative staff, they kissed and made up not long after the Rams relocated. Per the Rams Media Guide, Dickerson has been Vice President-Business Development since 2018.
