But, the other clever thing he did was draft late rounders and UFAs, coached them up, and when other teams signed them he got comp picks to restock.
Are you giving credit to Snead for coaching them up? I'd say he wasn't responsible for any of the coaching. That was done by our very good coaching staff that has been "poached" to death ever since.
It was those coaches that "coached up" Snead's picks. If our coaches would have sucked, chances are so would have most of those players.
So, we gets the credit? Snead for making those picks or those coaches who coached them? Also, I am pretty sure McVay had final approval on all those picks that Snead suggested too. Look no further than Tutu Atwell for proof of that.
I think Snead should get some credit but not as much as some think he should get. IMO, the coaches get the majority of the credit.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
