He was handcuffed to Fisher, who was more his boss than vice-versa. When he was finally given the complete job, he hired Mcvay. He was criticized for that. That was in 2017. We have had winning seasons ever since. Snead has been ultra-aggressive in his unique team-building strategy and was criticized for that! Now the defending champions have one bad year, and he's on the hot seat?! I don't think any successful GM has ever had this much scrutiny.
He has received a ton of praise over the last few years for he has done lately. I agree the Fish didn't help him any I am sure! lol
The opposite can also be said about his success. How much is attributed to McVay? So he's had good and bad HC's to work with. IMO, he's not as great as some say and he's not as bad as others are saying. The truth is that he's somewhere in the middle.
The dude is a multi millionaire and has had a good amount of success. I see no reason to feel bad for him now that his job just got harder. I have 0 sympathy for him and do not feel bad at all.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
