I'll take the last 6 seasons with mcvay over any other stretch and I've been a hard-core fan since 1970. Ive been though it all. I think they have a plan in being very liquid next year along with a chance at one of the top qbs coming out.
they have been sucked into binary thinking---republican or democrat, Coke or Pepsi, iPhone android,
Mac and PC, our team vs their team, Christian vs non-Christan and on and on
in a grey world few things are black and white.
Critical thinking requires seeing the shades of grey . . . and nuance and detail
and reason.
Criticizing aspects of something while also pointing out the positives is part of that.
Reasonable people can see there are mistakes of McSnead and sure, it is fair
to criticize them, talk about them. But wholesale "trash" and "fire"
and whatever it is were are seeing is just too binary.
The big picture is Rams had a new way to win a Super Bowl, not 100% new
teams have tried to do it, but Rams made it work.
But most knew that it came with a risk, and the risk is fewer draft picks to
reload. And the stars you traded for are expensive in money, and draft capital
and they can also decline in performance---they are called red flags or whatever.
So, yeah, the last six years are great. Better even than the 4-5 years of Vermeil/Martz
where we were competitive.
Smart thinking would be to wait for the sky to fall before screaming "the Sky is falling"
Otherwise they get insanely possessed and obsessed with one object, a coach or
a GM . . . and it's kind of creepy.
