5 straight losing seasons as GM before mcvay.
The only thing that matters is we won a ring. That makes Snead and everybody "untouchable" and above criticism according to some people.
Same with Morris. We hear, "But he won us a ring!" We'll, I think those 3 hof'ers on D had a little bit to do with that ring too! Some people would have you think Morris won it by himself!
The fact is, as you pointed out, that Snead wasn't very good before McVay got here. And neither was Morris.
How much success is attributed to Snead? Was he the reason we won a ring or was it McVay and all those players we traded for?
I am grateful that we went to 2 SB's and won one but that doesn't mean they can rest on their laurels and shouldn't be above any criticisms.
I don't think Snead is the worst out there but he's has made some mistakes too. Regardless of any past success, it is a what have you done for me lately league.
We will have a better idea of how good Snead, Morris and some others are now that we are "retooling" the team.
Can Snead restock our talent with little money or draft picks? I don't blame those 5 losing seasons before McVay. Some blame has to go to the Fish too.
Can Morris coach a team without 3 hof'ers to a better ranking than "middle of the pack" like last year? I doubt it. History says No. lol
I don't know if I would say they are both on the "hot seat" but all eyes will on them this year and next for sure.
They have a chance to show just how good they are now.
I don't see Snead leaving regardless of what happens due to being so tight with McVay.
I don't see Morris going anywhere either because apparently nobody has wanted him for the last 12 years and I don't se that changing anytime soon!
"Winning seasons" in the past are not a get out of jail free card IMO. To think otherwise is just silly.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
