Besides AD as a first rounder and maybe best ever at his position his next best pick was Cooper Kupp in the third round. Grabbing the best WR in the NFL after everyone else passed him by TWiCE! Was genius. What everyone misses is that he did something creative with the comp system. He traded away picks for All Pros, that everyone remembers and his trades people remember But, the other clever thing he did was draft late rounders and UFAs, coached them up, and when other teams signed them he got comp picks to restock. For instance, this year we get a pick for losing Brockers. He was starting to lose his skills and we now get a new young player to replace him. We didn't trade him, but we still got the pick for him. Next season we will get a comp pick for Gay. Maybe for Rupp, Scott and/or GG. Those picks can replenish the roster or be used in trade for a new All Pro. Or we could move up in the draft for targets. It's all complicated. But, it works.
I love Snead.
