Do you think there were better offers on the table? Cuz the Rams can ask for whatever they want, but it's the buyers who set the market.
Are you suggesting that the Rams didn't check with every team? Or that they simply chose not to take a better offer?
The Rams were kind of under the gun to get a deal done: they wanted to deal Ramsey before March 15 as part of their 'get under the cap' plan. Perhaps that played a part, but it really looks like there wasn't a market for older CBs. Especially one with $55M remaining on his contract.
I would have like it better of course, if the Rams got a couple 2nds. Or a 1st and a 2nd. Or two 1sts. But if no one offers those deals what are you going to do? You can't make teams pay what you want them to pay ...
