Surely Stafford could have used a "break" after getting killed by the OL this year but he was still on the sidelines.

What about Kupp? The man carried this team for almost 2 seasons straight and had a LEGIT injury. After everything Kupp has done for our team and the beatings he has taken, surely he could have used a "break" too.

I am sure there are others too that I am not mentioning that were still there on the sidelines to cheer on their teammates and maybe offer any support along the way.

I have seen Stafford talking to the Wolf and to Perkins when they were playing as well as helping Baker at the end. That's what a "leader" does.

I have seen Kupp, while also injured, coaching up his fellow WR's all the way up to the end of the year. That's what a "leader" does.

I have NOT seen any sign of AD at all since his "injury". Not on the sidelines coaching up his fellow players or cheering on his teammates. That's not what a "leader" should be doing.

This whole "AD is missing" thing is just a bad look for AD IMO. Is AD above criticism for this? Or his bad temper? Of his hold outs for more money? When you are the GOAT at your position, does any of this really matter?

I think so.

Dude....

I get that AD isn't driven the same as Kupp and Stafford and that we all admire the "we" mentality they exemplify. Your point is valid.

But is it necessary?

All the tunnel vision that created the physical monster that is AD has only so much left for others around him, though he maintains great relationships with them as well. But his mindset is singular and explosive...which is why McVay was desperately trying to find someone to pull Aaron out of a scrum in the Super Bowl.

Why lament that he isn't Vince Lombardi? He is the one and only Aaron Donald --- the singular light in a dark tunnel that became a supernova that lit up the NFL. The Rams defense would have never been even considered good without him. I don't care if he ever spoke a word or attended a practice...but, of course, he did.

If Donald retired, how would it affect the salary cap?

RamBum700January 15, 2023 01:17PM

No way he walks away from $62,000,000.00

Ram_Ruler289January 15, 2023 05:17PM
