I was almost definitely wrong, but I was wanting us to trade Donald last year before the SB season.
I just felt, if we were to get ligit value for him, like a 1st and a 2nd or something like that, it had to happen then...
Now, you have an aging Hall of famer with a huge cap figure.
MAYBE, just maybe, we could have traded him to the Vikings before the trade deadline this year and maybe their defense could have stepped up and they could have made a run.
He may have a no trade clause, but we would have been like, you want to go to the Vikings who are 6-1 or us at 3-4 and everybody's mailing it in?
Anyway, now what? We just have to cut him and/or trade Ramsey so that we can bolster our offensive line. Then play bend but don't break defense and try to outscore the opponents.
I'm ok with us being the Vikings version 2023. At least they won a ton of games and made the playoffs.
You have to outscore your opponent to win. That's how it works. You have to score.
We averaged like 16 points per game. There is no other option than to sell some defensive capitol to try to upgrade the offense. I've heard Floyd...not sure that is enough.
