I don’t know, it seems almost simultaneous. And I haven’t heard/read anything that suggests he got his bell rung. Think he just took his hand off to make sure he got there. Didn’t need to, obviously.by Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
I like “favorites” list, and I’m on board with you on candy bars. But no Rice Krispies, marshmallows or s’mores??? Yikes! None of those would be my favorites, but if someone’s offering, I wouldn’t say no. I tend to think of my favorite desserts in terms of where they come from, because I’m actually a picky dessert eater. Definitely not a picky eater in general, though lol. And today’s results helped a lot. Rams have to get better at finishing games and tighten some things up, but otherwise they have as good as chance as any. Especially if they get a corner. Now if Baker’s Bucs can beat the niners next week and we take care of business like we should, I’ll feel even better.by Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quote There was no way you could tell me that the game the other night wasn’t going to be close. We have read this book too many times to not know better. Well at least I have. That’s what cracked me up/scared the crap out of me. The Vegas line went from -3.5 to -8.5. And then everyone in the media is telling us to look for a Rams blowout. The niners were just too banged up. Yeah,by Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
That’s a lot of work. Like Rampage said, Newsome and Sneed seem to make the most sense for both teams and I think would cost the Rams the least in draft capital. Don’t know much about Newsome, but it looks like he’s battling a hamstring issue and we already have experience in how tricky hamstring injuries can be. Sneed hasn’t played as well since he left the Chiefs, but a change of sceneby Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
Still wouldn’t hurt to at least have the opportunity to look at it again. I know McVay definitely wanted them to look at it again.by Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
The explanation from the broadcast referee was so silly. To paraphrase, if the ball came out the same time as the hit, then it’s reviewable. But since forward progress “stopped” and whistle was blown, too bad. Seems arbitrary to me. If we can get it right, let’s get it right. Especially since these games are so important, like you said.by Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
Is there even a reason? That was just what we needed, too. Would’ve completely changed the momentum.by Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
That’s crazy to watch him lose the ball AND take a shot to the chops. Talk about a twofer. And I mean, he woulda scored with two hands on the ball anyway. Just unnecessary.by Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
After last night. I'm firmly in the "add a CB" group. I realize the d-line did not show up last night (rushing the passer anyways), but sometimes that's just going to happen. Gotta have guys who can stick with their man for at least a little while. Problem is we lack physicality outside. Our CB's have speed and athleticism but if there's a physical receiver? Forget about it.by Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
Makes my stomach hurt thinking about that fumble. Gonna take a bit for the sting to heal from this one.by Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
Kids got potential. That's for sure.by Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
They made all those mistakes and still should've won. Arrrrggh!! That's why I'm not convinced the niners are better. Even if they are roughed up. They're a good team, not denying that. But I wanna see the Rams come out to Levi on 11/9 and punch these guys in the mouth. Wish in one hand....well...you know the rest.by Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteSpeed_Kills (and yes by the way it could have been flagged for blow/punch to the head) I guess I missed that but the guys on the radio were talking about that this morning. I'll have to go back and re-watch it (do I really want to though????), but is it possible that pop to the head rung his bell enough to cause him to fumble? Like I said, I haven't re-watched it, and in my seethingby Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
I was fine with them throwing the ball, and I actually thought that's what they'd do. Put the ball in Stafford's hands. Of course, Kyren is deadly in short yardage, and he averaged over 4.5 yards a carry. I don't know, it's all hindsight. Bottom line is the Rams failed to execute too many times on too many plays.by Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, I know from reading this forum that you're position on Stafford is markedly different than mine. As others pointed out, he's in rare form. Easily the best he's played since '21.by Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm not going to let myself be a prisoner of the moment. The Rams had too many self-inflicted wounds. I don't think the 49ers are better, and I'm not writing off the Rams or their SB chances. The better team doesn't always win.by Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
Both were self-inflicted. Rams should have won both games. I just don't get why the Rams didn't take away that short middle stuff. They changed their coverage a few times to take the short middle away and that's when the whiners offense stalled. But then they'd go back to what was NOT working. With all those injuries at receiver and with our safety play, go ahead and dare them to bby Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
It’s just so typical Rams. Especially coming off a tough win. And it’s the niners with their MASH unit. Might as well be a SWAT unit. The niners are always hurt, but that doesn’t matter. Rams fail to match their execution and intensity too often. But I’d also like to take a moment to remind everyone the Rams had a couple of embarrassing home losses the year they won the Super Bowl (Niby Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
Stafford was the reason they almost pulled it off.by Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
Seems like the Rams struggle to match the niners intensity almost every game. Or it takes at least a half. And by then it’s too late or they make too many mistakes. Hell, Nick Mullens beat us when he was the niners third stringer.by Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
You’re right. I don’t know why they play like crap vs. the niners and then go on a tear. This really hurts though. Gotta win that second game in San Francisco now.by Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
If guys are gonna stretch up so high and leave their torso exposed, put your shoulder pad into their ribs. That’ll put a stop to that ish real quick.by Drew2839 - Game Time Forum
Seeing that scrubby TE get a free ten yards is the saddest thing I’ve seen in a while.by Drew2839 - Game Time Forum
I used to hate it, but now I don’t have a problem with it. It sucks, but like a lot of you guys have said, don’t lose the ball. I don’t like it when Stafford throws a pick, but I don’t think we need to change the rules on interceptions; he just shouldn’t throw it to the other team.by Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRantoulRam I read power rankings, but I also realize they are meaningless. I think that's a good perspective to have. It's fun to read and think about, but I'm not sure how practical of an exercise it is. Someone else in this thread alluded to this, but Nick Wright always puts his teams into tiers. Yeah, I know, he's kinda loud and annoying (and a diehard Chiefs fan), but I think heby Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
Not sure if he was in on plays, but he wasn't targeted in 2023 until 11/26/23 against the Cardinals. Definitely started to get involved more at the end, but there's still weeks he went with no targets. Davis Allen 2023by Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
I think usually by game four though you can start to see some teams separating themselves from the pack. Not just wins and losses, but how they're winning or losing. Now, obviously, a team like the Chiefs is probably ranked too low, IMO. But, like you said, I think a lot those rankings just look purely on wins and losses without looking at trajectory or future schedule. But the Chiefs shoulby Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
