Yep, I know one

My stepbrother.

This was before I was born, but somehow a bumblebee go into the house and landed in his hand while he was asleep.

He subconsciously closed it, and the bumblebee did its thing.

He could not open his hand the next morning it was so swollen.

Only incident I've known where someone was stung by a bumblebee.

I have been stung by a cicada killer, right below my lower lip.

I have no idea how I pi$$ed it off because you can usually walk right up to them and they won't pay you a lick of attention.

Only thing I can think of is I wasn't paying attention and almost stepped on it.

I'll tell you what, that was the most painful sting I've had. It looked like Mike Tyson caught me with a hook. Fat lip would be an understatement.

Apparently the velvet ant has a super nasty sting. I've seen quite a few, but I don't see how you'd get stung unless you were walking barefoot, which is a no for me. I wear my Chacos in the summer.
