I'm sorry to hear about your friend. That's one of the worst parts of this whole thing. Not only the casualties, but the inability to have a proper funeral and grieve together.
But I'm happy that y'all got together. I think the pandemic has given us a hard lesson in not taking things for granted, even small things like hugs and sitting together.
I'm looking forward to giving my brother, sister, and nephews a big hug this summer at the family reunion. If I'm going to greet somebody, I actually prefer a hug. I think it means more than a handshake. At least for people I'm close to lol.
And I'm right there with you. I'll gladly make sacrifices if it's for the greater good.
That's something else the pandemic has revealed. How selfish and childish some folks can be.
