Quotezn QuoteDeadpool for as many big plays as Keenum is making, the Rams are still 29th in scoring. So they make a big play and then stall out. Maybe not keenum's fault, maybe not the OLs fault, maybe not the other skill position guys' fault, but it is someone's fault. You cannot be 29th in ppg without week in and week out having breakdowns. More breakdowns then success'. And that is the probby dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotesstrams ..because Fisher will always use the "we drafted Goff and haven't been able to play him yet - lets finish what we started" bs... So, then next year Fisher will have an excuse, "well, Goff didn't have experience and needed to grow into the NFL" thing.... which maybe why he won't play him THIS year - so he'll have that excuse NEXT year.. Quotepoplarbluffman Eli is the 1st qb I think of when I study Goff...introverts can be successful BUT slow mental processors can't..just don't have enough info yet to say which one is Goff Well mental processing was listed as one of his best strengths pre-draft so hopefully it's not slow.by dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteLMU93 If part of the argument for Goff is he'll be here next year and Keenum won't then the same applies for Cooper/Spruce vs. Quick. Except we don't know that Quick won't be here next year. He's now producing and unlike Keenum will not be expensive to keep. Good backup QBs are expensive now where a #3 WR isn't.by dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com

Quotelaram Quotedzrams The question of is this it and the projection of 4-7 TDs is contradictory because he has already surpassed that projection last year. He pulled him with a quickness after a pick 6 and a couple of fumble strips for a TD. Those aren't always the QBs fault either; they can often be blamed on the OL. Fisher is an idiot.by dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
Except they haven't been successful running behind him. Also, you don't draft a LT at #2 to be a mauler. They drafted him that high to be a future HOF'er and the job description of a successful LT involves a lot more than being good at run blocking.by dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
Taylor Lewan is PFF's #1 rated OT. Jake Matthews is PFF's #36 rated OT. Morgan Moses who was selected in round 3 of the 2014 draft is PFF's #10 rated OT. However that is as a RT even though I'm sure he could play LT since he played there primarily in college. It hurts that there were so many other choices. Clearly, trading down was the move to make. QuoteRams_81 I would disagree with the premise of improvement. I would rather call it. "The Rams offense have had better games recently." You don’t go away from what’s working. If the passing game is working and putting up points you gotta stick with that especially since the O is usually pretty anemic. Don’t change a thing if it’s effective. The other big reason you stay the course is because Gurley isn’t effective right now. The Rams ball control, power running game hasn’t worked this year…at all. No depth in the secondary I agree with. I don't how you can say no depth in the DL when it's primarily the depth that is playing this week and last. When you're almost starting your 2nd string DL, you're not gonna get the same results.by dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotelaram Quotedzrams If the DL is healthy next week, then the secondary can survive. The big issue isn't the secondary alone, it's lack of pressure. I agree quite a bit with this post. Changes need to happen soon if there is no improvement. I don't know if changing the OL coach would solve anything but it should be a consideration. I suspect the issue is the zone blocking scheme. They should return to more power blocking. That fits the personnel better. I don't think it matters so much what Saffold's best position is.
