I agree quite a bit with this post. Changes need to happen soon if there is no improvement.
I don't know if changing the OL coach would solve anything but it should be a consideration. I suspect the issue is the zone blocking scheme. They should return to more power blocking. That fits the personnel better.
I don't think it matters so much what Saffold's best position is. The main thing is, who are the best 5 players?
Saffold was a decent LT and at least league average at that position. I suspect he could play the position better than GRob now. Currently, he's not performing at league average as a RG IMO so they would lose nothing on the interior by moving him. My only concern with such a move is his health. Can he stay healthy at LT?
At the bye week if things haven't gotten better, I would consider Saffold at LT with Brown at RG.
