That was tough to watch. Really in the crapper. Missed PAT. KW fumble. Terrible Stafford interception. I'm a Tutu fan, but with KW and Corum available how do you run an end around to a guy who weighs 140 pounds? And why is it that Parkinson, who is like the biggest TE I've ever seen can't break any tackles and goes down like lemonade on a hot day? Last year, we did blitz more. And usually when we did, it was Jones up the middle. And when Jones sacked up the gut it was effective, because he was good at timing it and AD was taking up 3 blockers. It's really almost a whole new defense. Young and Turner were rookies last year who really benefitted from the AD effect, but are talented and return as young vets. We're hyper focused on all the injuries, but the biggest loss was the suspension to AJ. First two games and the LT position was a turn style. Of course losing the rest of the starting OL and both of our starting star WRs hurts. But, none of those positions is nearly as important as the LT. The 2 SB wins featured outstanding HOF type play from Pace and big Whit. Very happy AJ is back for game 3.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com

Good things...our new kicker was perfect. Verse flashed. The secondary held up. Our LBs looked good. Stafford was incredible. Kupp was nearly '21 Kupp. The new TE is a beast. The WR squad was deep. Bad things...Injuries galore to very key players. I'm an old guy and I really think I block better than Acuri. Where was Turner? Fiske? No Tutu? No Corum? I will be very surprised if our DL is chasing Hoff out of the pocket on every play. Firstly the Lions are a good running team. Goff is at his best using play action. He needs to emphasize the run game to set up his passes. Can we stop the run to set up the third and longs? Well, we haven't seen them play at all so they will come out of nowhere. McVay hopes to sneak up on teams. I find it very odd that there will be rookies starting and or playing the majority of snaps and we've never seen them in horns. Maybe a few here went to open sessions of training camp, but nobody has seen them in a game playing at game speed. We don't know that Bennett won't develop into good pro QB. And he's not too small. We know he's not ready to beat off Stafford as a starter, but Stafford was the first overall pick in the NFL draft and has won a Super Bowl. As for size, Bennett is about the same size as Drew Brees: future Hall of Fame QB and Super Bowl winner. Bennett has better wheels. Bennett is a winner. When did Whittington win the 4th WR battle? Are you counting Robinson and Atwell as 3A and 3B? Both are behind All world duo of Kupp and Nacua. That would be 4. Whit would be a nice 5, but has he really even beaten out XS? That would take him to 4A or 4B. That would make him 5 or 6. He needs the work. He has flashed at times, but is obviously rusty after missing a whole season. If anything, Winn should get reps this week because JG is suspended week one and Winn would be the 3rd strong if Stafford and SB both got hurt. I think we're getting a little too worried about how people look in preseason (fake games). SB looks exactly like he should. Rusty. He has shown a lot of talent too. He has thrown done gorgeous passes including late TD strikes to win both games he has played in. He took a whole season off. He is playing with backups. Who knows how he looks with Puka, Kupp and KW? I agree with the ide that Evans is on the bubble, but how is he supposed to have these breakout plays with no game planning and backup blockers? The author didn't mention his good yardage on a swing pass in the flat where he could use his speed. He may not make the top 4, but maybe he is on the practice squad and could be brought up later.
