He was always hurt - flashed a bit, got hurt, then got hurt again. Then he went to another team briefly. Since then he has had generally good health and has had a good career. Just saying that when guys get hurt a lot early doesn't always mean that they will always be that way. But whether we can hold onto them in the meantime....that's another story. We all had high hopes for Bruss buby RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com

I found a condensed version of the 2021 game between the 8-4 Rams and the 10-2 Cardinals. (Side note - the Cardinals were 10-2 that year??? Wow, they have fallen far and fast!) The defensive player who JUMPED off the page in that game was Leonard Floyd. He was pressuring, stopping runs, blocking passes and just a genuine PITA to Kyler and the Cards offense. In this particular game he looby RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com

What a great discussion. A lot of passionate and intelligent arguments about the subject of RB pay. Also a lot of people saying "agree to disagree" and making a reasoned counterargument. No calling names or straw manning another person's argument. I would like to compliment every single person who took part in this discussion and say that I would very much like to take partby RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com
We seem to be talking here like he is a bust if he doesn't become a starter this year. And it seems that way because he was our first pick in 2022. But remember, that first pick was in the 3rd round. The hit rate for 3rd rounders becoming ongoing and valuable starters is probably in the 20% range. I am hopeful that he will be a solid starter for us, but won't be surprised if he doesn't. This post is well worth a read. I agree that this is definitely an unfair situation for RBs. If there is an easy fix, why not try to make it a bit more fair? The most workable solution I have heard is to limit rookie RB contracts to three years instead of four. The whole issue of RBs getting "used up" in a way that doesn't happen at any other position warrants this. -Or- anby RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com

Kind of a stretch. Not sure how they picked Kendricks above Durant who I think has much more upside.by RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Anybody notice him being the only healthy receiver left on the Rams in the SB and still dominating and winning SB MVP? Honestly this is a head scratcher. AD at #2 behind Mahomes I can live with. Both are superstars. I didn't backtrack far enough to find Stafford but he is probably too low as well.by RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com

While I realize we looked pretty questionable even the first game against the Bills, still... When your OLINE is suffering a HISTORIC number of injuries, when you are finding street free agents and throwing them in the starting lineup because you don't have enough bodies left, nothing is going to work on your offense. You don't need a great OL to have a great offense, but you do need at leaby RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com

I'd love it if this were true. I'd love it if this year we finally get to see what McVay saw in his head when drafting Tutu. But its probably not going to happen.by RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I think from that season you could make a strong case for that. I have been rewatching quite a bit of 1999 this year and that offense just cut through defenses like a hot knife through butter. It was a thing of beauty.by RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com

Talk about forgotten - how about being the 4th receiver on the GSOT? But who caught the TD pass without which we don't even go to SB34? Who did Warner turn to when it was 3rd and 7, because Ricky ALWAYS got the first down? My personal favorite, and a really nice guy who I met at training camp in Macomb, IL in 2000. We need some forgotten players to (pleasantly) surprise us this year.by RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I think a lot of teams have picked up edge rushers who played next to AD, only to find that their productivity mysteriously declined when they were no longer playing next to an all-world DT who regularly commands 2-3 blockers. Fowler is a good example. My guess is they are wondering how much of his productivity was him and how much was the AD effect.by RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com
This may have been the single finest game of the GSOT offense. At one point in the second quarter the Rams were averaging 35 yards PER PLAY. But trust me on this, once the Rams get to 49 points turn it off. The last 3 minutes of the game were unwatchable and we still won so in the end they didn't mater. 1999 Divisional Round Rams v Vikings (Rewatching old Rams games is one of the waysby RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Yes and that was a great play. But in the question I mentioned that Faulk scored twice. What a great game. I'm sure I watched it live and that was just breathtaking the way they scored at will, especially in the first half. The last 3 minutes of the game were unwatchable, though. It took an hour for them to play 3 minutes of game time and there were flags on about 6 straight plays at oneby RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com
If you did that entirely from memory, I am seriously impressed. What a crazy group to score - tight end, backup tight end, backup OT, and then of course Bruce and Horne. Okay technically 2000 I just rewatched the 1999 divisional game between the Rams and the Chris Carter / Randy Moss Vikings. It's on YouTube if you want to watch it. This was the first season of The greatest show on turf. The Rams scored 49 points in this game. Marshall faulk scored two touchdowns. Just thinking about the Rams, as we tend to do in the offseason. I know the NFL is de-emphasizing the run and the value of running backs. But it seems to me that the McVay offense REQUIRES a strong run game to operate at top efficiency. Look back at when Goff was our QB. The offense was great. When Gurley was great. When did Goff and the offense really take a step back - when we lostby RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com
It is the offseason and that means we have nothing of substance to talk about. Today I listened to a podcast on The Athletic Football Podcast. I listened on Spotify but the Athletic podcasts are free on most platforms.
