I saw that minutes after I posted. But what is your opinion of operating in that way?by RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Everything I have read about Van is that he has been a good guy, good teammate, excellent behavior and professionalism. What if this trade is almost entirely about helping out a good guy you know won't make your roster and sending him to a team that needs WRs and might give him a better chance to improve his career in a contract year? I mean, we didn't get anything. A bit of cap space andby RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com
All three of our losses have come against teams that participated in either the AFC or NFC championship games last year. I think it's very fair to say that the eagles and the 49ers are far and away the best two teams in the NFC right now. The bangles.. well we should have been the Bengals. And then the games against the 49ers and the eagles we were close we were in those games. I doby RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Hopefully he doesn't take part in the return game. I'd just like to see him play WR.by RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com

Why bother to upgrade a player you hardly use, at least in the passing game? I guess he must be a great blocker because he is just competent at running routes and catching passes. Clearly there are layers of this offense that I just don't understand.by RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I go all in to build the offensive line. If we're planning to have Stafford as QB for 2-3 more years, we need a good pass blocking OL to maximize his upside. If we're not, we have to at least think about who our next QB is going to be. I doubt he is on the roster now,by RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Well, that's a....take..... Tell you what, you can have Jeff Fisher run your offense and I will take McVay. Then we'll both be happy. I can tell you this - if he were on the market, 25+ teams would be happy to have him as their OC.by RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com
A lot of our run plays were in the 4th quarter at Seattle when we were running into a stacked box just to keep the clock running. When you run, with the defense knowing 100% you are going to run, you aren't going to get much. I think we had two possessions in Seattle where we ran three times just to burn clock. Not saying we can't do better, but stats on this small a sample size are skewedby RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I mean, look guys, we have played 3 games so far this season. Game 1 vs 2022 Playoff team - Big win Game 2 vs 2022 NFC Championship team - Lost by 7, could have won with a few different bounces. Competitive with a team that is roundly consider one of the best in the league. Game 3 vs 2022 AFC Championship team - Lost by 3, with one TD taken away by an instant replay that did NOT use &quby RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Cooper Kupp is Isaac Bruce - Veteran with great hands, great route runner and overall great WR Puka Nacua is Tory Holt - Young and excited and highly productive. Tutu Atwell is Az Hakim - Super fast and capable of hitting home runs. Not as consistent as the top two. ?????? is Ricky Proehl - Proehl was an overlooked cog on the GSOT who showed up big in big moments (hello NFC Championshby RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Remember how good we were in 2018, even with Jared Goff as our QB? I think the straw that stirred that offense was Todd Gurley. Once we lost Gurley, our offense really struggled. And while I always want a strong defense, with McVay as our HC I think it is always going to be the offense that is the identity of this team. If we could be that good with Jared Goff and Todd Gurley, how good coby RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com
What is this, the Hall of Pretty Good for a Few Years? Like seeing London Fletcher. He played well for a lot of years. And Steven Jackson is definitely underappreciated. That's the result of lack of team success.by RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com
If a player is injured by another player on a blatant intentional foul, the player who injured the other player should be forced to sit out, without pay, for as long as the injured player is out. Oh, and I think he should still count on the 53 man roster. I know it is practically impossible, but cheap shots like that have to have a steeper penalty. The game is already dangerous enough withouby RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Don't know if it would work but I like this idea.by RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Seriously, it was an accident. I looked at my roster and realized I had made a mistake. 11 points later, I was happy I made that mistake. Unfortunately, I started Van Jefferson on purpose and he did not do a lot for me.by RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com

This guy is actually pretty funny his NFC East was hilarious.by RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com
If there is a guy that we talk about this on this board less than anyone else, it might be a van Jefferson. But he is our clear number two receiver and a big piece of our offense. That being said I don't know what kind of receiver he is. I think he has pretty good hands I think he runs pretty good routes I think he's pretty fast. But honestly I just don't know. He was always hurt - flashed a bit, got hurt, then got hurt again. Then he went to another team briefly. Since then he has had generally good health and has had a good career. Just saying that when guys get hurt a lot early doesn't always mean that they will always be that way. But whether we can hold onto them in the meantime....that's another story. I found a condensed version of the 2021 game between the 8-4 Rams and the 10-2 Cardinals. (Side note - the Cardinals were 10-2 that year??? Wow, they have fallen far and fast!) The defensive player who JUMPED off the page in that game was Leonard Floyd. He was pressuring, stopping runs, blocking passes and just a genuine PITA to Kyler and the Cards offense. In this particular game he looby RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Answer - there are none. So need to add at least one of the potential returners to the WR room.by RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com
What a great discussion. A lot of passionate and intelligent arguments about the subject of RB pay. Also a lot of people saying "agree to disagree" and making a reasoned counterargument. No calling names or straw manning another person's argument. I would like to compliment every single person who took part in this discussion and say that I would very much like to take partby RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com
We seem to be talking here like he is a bust if he doesn't become a starter this year. And it seems that way because he was our first pick in 2022. But remember, that first pick was in the 3rd round. The hit rate for 3rd rounders becoming ongoing and valuable starters is probably in the 20% range. I am hopeful that he will be a solid starter for us, but won't be surprised if he doesn't. This post is well worth a read. I agree that this is definitely an unfair situation for RBs. If there is an easy fix, why not try to make it a bit more fair? The most workable solution I have heard is to limit rookie RB contracts to three years instead of four. The whole issue of RBs getting "used up" in a way that doesn't happen at any other position warrants this. -Or- anby RantoulRam - RamsFootballFans.com
