McVay's Offense requires a strong run game

Just thinking about the Rams, as we tend to do in the offseason.

I know the NFL is de-emphasizing the run and the value of running backs. But it seems to me that the McVay offense REQUIRES a strong run game to operate at top efficiency.

Look back at when Goff was our QB. The offense was great. When Gurley was great. When did Goff and the offense really take a step back - when we lost Gurley and what he brought to the run game.

This is why we have spent so many of our highest picks on RB. And the lack of production from those RBs may be the biggest thing holding this offense back.

We will actually have an OL this year, hopefully, and let's hope Akers picks up where he left off. Maybe we will see the actual McVay offense again.
