7 takeaways from Rams' disappointing loss to Bengals Cameron DaSilva Things were looking up for the Los Angeles Rams after the first week of the season as they beat the Seattle Seahawks, 30-13. Then they lost a tough game to the San Francisco 49ers, a game many fans expected them to lose. Rams should be in position to get one of them with their 1st. Tanking to get a QB is wholly unnecessary, IOW.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Just to get off the McVay bashing we’ve been doing since last night, you know? Here’s my current thinking. Rams might need to take a RG fairly high in next draft. Boom just can’t stay healthy and he’s not a great run blocker on his best day, anyway. Heck, I halfway expect Boom and his salary to be moved next offseason. Anchrum, Bruss, and all others just don’t seem good enough. An Avila typby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com

Quote21Dog Coach didn't overthrow Atwell in the the end zone and the coach didn't kill a red zone drive with a dropped pass (Williams again). Oh, there’s PLENTY of blame to go around, Dog. But it all starts at the top, imo. McVay simply neutered his O when he abandoned the run game. He made his vaunted O that had been kicking butt since game one into a one dimensional unit that was far easiby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteOld Goat I only wish. And this, as at times in the past, has been a major weakness. I've enjoyed watching McVay grow, and he's not done yet. But he still makes "young man" mistakes, and right now that looks like pride and arrogance. I don't ever see him giving up the play calling, but he should. Or his staff should have more power in giving him advice. We lost last night foby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quoteoldschoolramfan I love what Kyren Williams brings to this team....But, there's an ALL PRO RB sitting out there waiting to be traded. Rams went hard for CMC and we all know how he's doing up North. Taylor is the same type of game changer at RB, with the speed to go the distance from anywhere on the field. QuoteLMU93 I know he played (mostly right) tackle at SDSU. But I thought since joining the Rams he was mostly a backup guard. Guess I just presumed that Noteboom would move over and Anchrum would play RG if Jackson went out. The fubar handling of Jackson’s absence was almost a perfect storm of incompetence. Why did Rams pay Joe Noteboom like a left tackle if they won’t play him at left tackle? The Rams needed a left tackle in the fourth quarter, but wouldn’t use Joe Noteboom despite having him Kenneth Arthur The Los Angeles Rams were only down 16-9 in the fourth quarter when Ahkello Witherspoon made an unbelievable interception off of Joe Burrow to give the offense the ball back with oby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
One of which was to NOT run against a weak run defense opponent. Another was to leave Thomas out there on an island at LOT in 2nd half. Could have put Boom at LOT and Anchrum at RG. OR give Thomas some blocking help. Reminded me of ‘22 when Bobby Evans was left in despite endless woeful incompetence and expecting better results. Thomas clearly ain’t ready for LOT y’all. Quoteroman18 and IMO he checks that box. I do think he is a bit slow though and I wonder if his penalty issue is due to being a step slow so he would tend to grab. I do know he is young and really outside of Witherspoon they have no vet to mentor from at the CB spot. If he can learn to better read the routes in his coverages he may be able to offset that slow step by getting into better initiaby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com

Aaron Donald expects Joe Burrow to play but Ja'Marr Chase doesn't think he will – or should Cameron DaSilva The biggest question heading into Monday night’s Rams-Bengals game isn’t who will win, but whether Joe Burrow will be on the field. 5 burning questions for Rams vs. Bengals in Week 3 Cameron DaSilva After beating the Seahawks in the opener and coming up short against the 49ers in Week 2, the Los Angeles Rams will now take on the Bengals in a rematch of Super Bowl LVI. Here’s Oldnotdead… The OL play this year is a reflection of just how good of a coach Wendell is. He has made a HUGE difference. Their overall technique is good and they play with aggression. Van Jefferson is simply not pulling his weight. Nacua and Atwell have picked up the slack beautifully but I do believe that Rams O would benefit from some combo of Robinson, Skow, or Trammel instead of VJ until Kupp’s return. Once Kupp is back I think VJ’s fate is sealed as a 4th WR to be allowed to walk next offseason. Problem solved. I would make this move as soon as the Bengal game.
