The fubar handling of Jackson’s absence was almost a perfect storm of incompetence.
Rams were quickly down to their 3rd OT once Boom was hurt.
Then no help for Thomas? Seriously?
Then to continue with the strictly pass play calls which only stressed the OL further?
Then, upon Boom’s return, not to put Boom at LOT and Anchrum at RG? A CHILD would have been able to make that decision.
Honestly, it’s like McVay’s brain was locked into some kind of Uber tunnel vision to the point that he couldn’t see the forest for the trees. Where was LaFleur at that time to keep McVay on the rails?
This all demonstrated a failure at multiple levels at the worst possible time. Plenty of blame to go around here, that’s for sure.
Like I’ve said elsewhere, I lost a lot of respect for McVay last night.
