Eliminated! How long until LA Rams return to relevance this time? . by Bret Stuter At the end of the 2019 NFL Season, the LA Rams did not make the NFL Playoffs. In that season, the Rams struggled with offensive line injuries that proved to be insurmountable. It was the same season that the Rams traded for DB Jalen Ramsey, did a salary dump of DB Aqib Talib to the Miami Dolphins, and tby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Here’s fearsomefour… Ive said for a long time most coaches are not great. Most are not great football minds that are adaptable really. They are experts in the scheme THEY run, but, thats all they coach really. So and so is a 3/4 D coach or a 4/3 D coach for example. Most coaches are not that adaptable. They run what they run or the oversee it and have other run their scheme. So I have noby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Here’s Oregonram… When you see your running back getting 5 yards a pop and only run him 12 times let’s me know that this is pathological with Sean. He would rather sling it in 18 degree weather rather than keep gouging the defense to not only soften the defense, but encourage his beleaguered OL. And the QB he is slinging it with has been with the team 12 days…just really really weird.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com

Rams haven't uncovered the reason behind their never-ending injuries Cameron DaSilva Seemingly every week, the Los Angeles Rams have lost another player to injury. The offensive line has been a revolving door of new starters, the receiving corps looks vastly different than it did at the start of the year and just about every position on defense has endured an injury or two. The guy simply can’t stay on the field. Love his heart but the NFL is a business. One of Shelton, draft pick, or FA will be Rams starting OC in ‘23. I think they’ll keep him for depth until his contract can be terminated. I’m assuming that no team would trade for him.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Excellent post, 93. And in your suggested starting scenario not one draft pick would be needed. I like it. Looks very doable, too.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotekw13 Good thing McVay didn't play anyone during pre-season to avoid injuries... Smh Yep. The irony could not be more thick.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Agree that Akers has played better lately, dodger. But disagree that Rams should rely on him to be starter next year, especially in a loaded RB draft. I favor drafting a RB (probably with a 5th or 6th) and then let all of them battle it out for pecking order next summer. In fact, I favor drafting a RB every year until we hit paydirt.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com

And this is not the first time that McVay has made such glaring play calling fubars. Here;s fearsomefour… 14 rushing attempts against one of the worst run defenses in the league. Im sure McVay gets the data driven info regarding trends with playing and defenses.....he choses to ignore those facts for some reason. There have been multiple times where the Rams have played teams with someby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRamsAl48 Mayfield is a 3 game rental and will not sign with the Rams after the season ends. Mayfield was a disaster yesterday...even Perkins had better QBR in the Kansas City game. Instead of developing Perkins and letting him play in the next 3 meaningless games....a guy in your system for the last 3 years... you keep starting a guy who will most likely not sign with the Rams next yeby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRamsdude The Pack is the worst in the league against the run. Was anyone really surprised Akers had a few good runs? Still, he only ran for less than 70 yards total. His longest run of the season??? 19 yards! Ok he didn't fumble. YAY! I still think we can do better than Akers in this years draft or a FA. Quoteden-the-coach I've been his greatest critic, but last night he ran hard and didn't put the ball on the ground. And it's behind an OL that is just below average to post the least. Yes, Akers could yet be a factor in Rams ‘23 plans. Not that they won’t draft a RB, of course.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
In no particular order of importance, just a stream of consciousness thing… Warning: I’m not gonna be holding back in this post. Great to hear Stafford declare that he’s NOT retiring. That’s huge. Rams must invest in a RB this offseason. Trade, FA, draft, I don’t care, anymore. My personal preference would be the draft. We just can’t go on like this. Fortunately, this is a deep RB drafby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quoteoldschoolramfan Time to look ahead and see what's out there. Top RB's? Rams need that Todd Gurley type RB....The guy like Chubb, moves the sticks and can go the distance on any play. Top OLINE? It's obvious we need to toughen up and get some BIG, MEAN, PEOPLE MOVERS up front...Period! Coaching hires. Trades FA Draft with hits through at least the 6th round. Not much margin for error at all in any of these areas. The entire league is laughing at us these days. Redemption will come only after a great offseason.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com

LA Rams draft results suddenly bad? Or something more obvious? by Bret Stuter The LA Rams draft classes from recent years have become apparently quite ineffective. Or so it seems. The Rams, who have never claimed to be experts in selecting blue chip reinforcements from the NFL Draft class, have been parting ways with less-than-productive young players this season at a record pace. Last month, Rams defensive coordinator Raheem Morris surprisingly mentioned Michael Hoecht as a potential replacement for outside linebacker Justin Hollins, who was waived after struggling to make an impact as a starter. Hoecht was a special-teams contributor and a backup for Aaron Donald as an interior defensive lineman. But Morris was a fan of Hoecht’s athleticism and size and noticed thby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
