We all know that many a quality coach just can’t handle HC responsibilities. We can now add Hackett to the list.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
If they can see the wisdom of studying and learning under McVay/Stafford until the Big Bucks are there upon Stafford’s retirement (one way or another) then sticking with Rams now seems like a no brainer. It could be as soon as next year. But if all they can see is the Short Term shiny starting QB on a marginal team toy then that’s what they’ll do. QuoteEkern55 OL blocked holes that opened up 158 yards rushing, 0 sacks and the entire Rams team had 3 penalties—not remembering any of them being thrown for holding. Only big glitch was a muffed snap when Baker was in shot guy. It’d be interesting to see the PFF scores. Agreed, 55. Hardly know where to start. In no particular order of importance… McVay called running plays and stuck with them. This patchwork OL was actually opening up some holes. Even mediocre players improve with continuity? The OL pass pro was impressive, too. Kudos to players and coaches alike. Akers looked like he was his rookie self. That’s right, I joined on Christmas Day in 2012. I had been a lurker for 2-3 years after retirement and my wife got tired of my telling her all of the time of the topics and characters posting on this board. So she dared me to join in on the actual posting fun itself. So I did. One of the better decisions I have ever made and certainly among the most fun. Here’s Kupped… Fun as hell to see them just go out and kick someone's ass in every phase of the game. The hard part of this game for me is how to evaluate what's real and what's not. I mean.. what the @#$%&? Denver looked like they had quit. On the other hand.. the Rams had a good game plan and they know how to play Russell. Durant is a danger to quarterbacks.. but he's got to put onby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Here’s Merlin… Once they get Durant playing better run defense out there we're going to have a hell of a corner. Good piece to build around. He's a real danger to QBs out there which is exactly what this secondary has needed. Noticed late when Kendricks came in, on that run that broke outside, he conveniently turned around the opposite direction and half-assed it to the ball carrier. It wasby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com

QuoteCoy Bacon Yeah, looks like Cam can run the ball. I still think we need to get a bigger feature back. I’m sure that Rams will draft a RB from this rich draft. But I’ve gotta say that Akers is impressing me. We may have dodged a bullet when Rams put Akers on trading block and nobody bit.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Here’s an excerpt from RR’s post… 2. it's not always that the emphasis isn't there. It's that the execution isn't. Hopkins was suspended to start the season and Higbee was just plain bad. Running game was creating some good holes today, unlike usual. So sometimes it's a question of whether Mcvay abandons these things too soon or if the execution is so poor that he doesn't waste time trying toby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com

Studs and duds from Rams' 37-point win over Broncos in Week 16 Cameron DaSilva hockingly, it was the Los Angeles Rams who were the ones putting up all the points. Here’s my thinking. RB. Excellent draft for RB’s reportedly into the 6th round. Let Akers, Williams, Rivers, and whoever compete for #2. OL. Plan A is sign a solid affordable and healthy vet at LOT. Move Jackson to LG, Shelton starts at OC, Bruss, Anchrum and Brewer battle to start at RG, and Hav at RT, of course. Those moves constitute an upgrade at LOT, LG, OC, and possibly at RG. QuoteClassicalwit I had forgotten about the mistake that is Allen Robinson. It saddens me to know that we are likely stuck with him for years to come. Allen Robinson wins the Mr Enigma award for 2022. Stafford pounds the table for him then hardly throws to him. McVay treats him like an orphan in his play calling. QuoteDavid Deacon Boom will be on the team next season because he can perform at a high level when healthy. However, Boom is injury prone and this is yet another example of a bad contract where the player has had injuries and reminds me of the Gurley contract which cause us to eat a lot of dead money.
