you saw what happens when your starter doesn't go enough to give the relief pitchers rest. I think Kershaw and Buehler will not be on the roster come playoffs. Sad for two great Dodger pitchers.

If you watch it episode to episode it gives you an accurate picture of the war in the Atlantic More so than Hollywood made movies. The narration, the musical score, and the actual footage is tremendous. No wonder it scored so many awards. And a tremendous lesson in history of WW 2 in the Atlantic ocean.

is it's historical accuracy. It isn't Hollywood. Entirely actual footage of the battles in the open ocean. I remember watching the episodes in the 50s as I was a youngster. I think that is true and I think the Dodgers know that. It may be they just value Taylor's diversity more than the pinch hitting of Heyward. Also Taylor has a way of hitting well post season. Who knows Dodgers may regret their decision which certainly was a tough one. I hope not. Today-4 games up ! Some breathing room. Still when it comes to playoffs its about pitching and defense. Not sure about the two aces that began the season. But Bobby Miller looked good the other night. Stone is off and on. Glassnow and Yammamoto are very questionable. Kershaw? Who knows. Pitching, pitching, pitching!

At this point Tayor's bat isn't the reason to keep him. It's the fact that he can play almost every position on the field. Heyward had one-OF.

It appears to be the perfect example of "group think". In two games he's come back to win on TD throws at the very end of the game. I'll take a winner that has mistakes any time. At the end of our local TV broadcast he was nominated as the player of the game. The last TD pass (48 yds ?) was perfect and couldn't have been thrown better by Brady or Stafford. Not sure about Glasnow. Now its the elbow. That's not good. If your right about the playoffs they need to be a lot better with their starting pitchers. They have to go more that 3-5 innings otherwise their bullpen is finished in a short series.

I do think the sand is not like the sand at the beach. I believe it's more compact so they can measure, with accuracy, the touchpoints. Almost like wetting down the sand.
