you saw what happens when your starter doesn't go enough to give the relief pitchers rest. I think Kershaw and Buehler will not be on the roster come playoffs. Sad for two great Dodger pitchers.by waterfield - Bucky's Pub
If you watch it episode to episode it gives you an accurate picture of the war in the Atlantic More so than Hollywood made movies. The narration, the musical score, and the actual footage is tremendous. No wonder it scored so many awards. And a tremendous lesson in history of WW 2 in the Atlantic ocean.by waterfield - Bucky's Pub
what about other sports UCONN particpates in like a little thing called Basketball ? Or skiing (had to say that because my grandson races for UCONN)by waterfield - Bucky's Pub
is it's historical accuracy. It isn't Hollywood. Entirely actual footage of the battles in the open ocean. I remember watching the episodes in the 50s as I was a youngster. Returning to it I'm on Episode 4. The German U Boats, on their own, almost destroyed all the food supply to Britain. Clearly the most dangerous bad guys-wolf packs-in the battle of the Atlantic ocean. And the closeness to Aby waterfield - Bucky's Pub
Do you recall the tv series "Victory at Sea". The musical score alone is worth the watch.by waterfield - Bucky's Pub
Yes and I think they have their closer !by waterfield - Bucky's Pub
I think that is true and I think the Dodgers know that. It may be they just value Taylor's diversity more than the pinch hitting of Heyward. Also Taylor has a way of hitting well post season. Who knows Dodgers may regret their decision which certainly was a tough one. I hope not. I also believe that in a short playoff series defense is really important and Taylor's versatility on defense isby waterfield - Bucky's Pub
Today-4 games up ! Some breathing room. Still when it comes to playoffs its about pitching and defense. Not sure about the two aces that began the season. But Bobby Miller looked good the other night. Stone is off and on. Glassnow and Yammamoto are very questionable. Kershaw? Who knows. Pitching, pitching, pitching!by waterfield - Bucky's Pub
At this point Tayor's bat isn't the reason to keep him. It's the fact that he can play almost every position on the field. Heyward had one-OF.by waterfield - Bucky's Pub
Reading the above it could be anything! From kicking his cocker spaniel to assassinating a foreign leader.by waterfield - RamsFootballFans.com
From the owners bottom line Ohtani's signing was a winner. From the teams view re playoffs and WS maybe not so much.by waterfield - Bucky's Pub
If we can't get more than 4 innings from our starting pitchers our bullpen will become worthless. That's the end of the story when we think of "playoffs". Ohtani: I know he hit a laser for his 38th tonight. But I wonder if the brass and shareholders are not re-thinking the commitment to him. Ruth was great under pressure but Ohtani appears to be nowhere close to him "when itby waterfield - Bucky's Pub
It appears to be the perfect example of "group think". In two games he's come back to win on TD throws at the very end of the game. I'll take a winner that has mistakes any time. At the end of our local TV broadcast he was nominated as the player of the game. The last TD pass (48 yds ?) was perfect and couldn't have been thrown better by Brady or Stafford. And he had pressure comingby waterfield - RamsFootballFans.com
Not sure about Glasnow. Now its the elbow. That's not good. If your right about the playoffs they need to be a lot better with their starting pitchers. They have to go more that 3-5 innings otherwise their bullpen is finished in a short series.by waterfield - Bucky's Pub
out because of injury to elbow. It won't stop ! Something about So Cal-great healthy fresh food, perfect weather, finest training and medical staff, great medical professionals in the surgery arena. It's called what sports psychologists have name it "The Theory of Opposition". Yes, it is a real thing. You can't fathom it in our linear thinking (i.e. A +B+c+D+...) Worried. Very worried. Headline in the L.A.Times says it all: "Join the Dodgers as a pitcher and get a free Tommy John surgery".by waterfield - Bucky's Pub
Saw the original Harrison Ford movie. D.A. thought to have murdered his mistress. Ending complicated if I remember right. Nothing concrete as to who did it. His wife, him, etc? Turow's book excellent and better -as always-than the movie.by waterfield - Bucky's Pub
Yet-California's population keeps increasing and these last two years Florida had more people leave their state than ever. While we do have a terrible homeless problem that is because we have the greatest all year round climate on the planet. If your homeless what better place to be.by waterfield - Bucky's Pub
After out of football for a year he was flawless in the first half. Tremendous accuracy and showed he could move away from a rush and make yardage in doing so. Good command of the field. After those interceptions -one right after another-and given his absence was related to mental issues-it would not be surprising for the youngster to fold. OTOH when it counted he brought them down the field andby waterfield - RamsFootballFans.com
He easily was putting the ball precisely where he wanted to and just didn't see the defenders-which is a whole different subject than "accuracy".by waterfield - RamsFootballFans.com
Sorry-I have no idea-it's complicated. That's all I have except this: Not sure why but I would hate to see Pages go-just so much potential.by waterfield - Bucky's Pub
Philly players are long hair ugly and look mean. Dodger players look clean shaven and nice.by waterfield - Bucky's Pub
I do think the sand is not like the sand at the beach. I believe it's more compact so they can measure, with accuracy, the touchpoints. Almost like wetting down the sand.by waterfield - Bucky's Pub
