Attempt at explaining why Dodger pitchers are so often injured - 4 weeks ago

Today's L.A.Times article discusses the many reasons why, across the board, pitchers are being placed on the IL so often today and why the Dodgers over the last decade has suffered the most. Primary reason is velocity but there are other interesting contributors.

Using the word "unfair" implies that the refs are doing this "intentionally". Is that what you mean or is it something that's just happening more often than not. If the former than my feeble brain would want to know "why".

I guess I haven't kept up with the rules. I thought, like in college, the loser of the coin flip still had the opportunity to do whatever the coin flip winner did-or better-at least until they ran out of downs.

None are older than me ! (LOL) Age is just a number. Was at the beach earlier and I think it was near a 100. Something is wrong. Terribly wrong. But we know what it is. Will we do anything? I doubt it. Let's go Rams !

Right now (4:04pm) 105 and we are less than a mile from the ocean. Pepper not too happy. We have AC but none of our immediate neighbors do. We invited them to use our pool and one neighbor and her children accepted.

over the Swift/Kelse thing. I don't think we've missed plays by the coverage where she was present. Sounds to me like some people are just plain envious. She's attractive, talented, has tons of money-of course people are envious and even jealous. But what possible harm does she bring to the game we love?

"altering" was a poor choice of words on my part. However, I believe you know what I'm referring to-namely the reduction of fossil fuels in our atmosphere which most scientists agree is the single most contributor to the warming of the planet. Of course there are cycles. The question is are we exacerbating the cycles? From my diving experience we have seen an ever increasing species of fish over the last decade that we only used to see in warmer waters down south. Plus the number of these fish has been consistently growing.

Not directed at you but at the board in general. Gambling is becoming a huge issue in all sports because of the amount of money that's being passed through. One of my favorite sports was thoroughbred racing. I grew up with a mother who was totally in on it. Used to go to the track a lot. Met a lot of really cool people. Today, many tracks are closing because of off site gambling. Too much money

Baltimore came within a 1/2 inch of winning that game. Harbaugh had already signaled to go for two instead of the tie. Had he prevailed I doubt we would be crowning KC today.

I know that if I was placing $$ on the Rams and laid it down a week ago I would really be pissed at the timing. Not saying that's a reason for people here that criticize the timing but I'm sure there are people out there in football world that are not too happy.

I've scanned the responses in this post and have yet to see one addressing "parents". Seems to me there is a common denominator on a subject like this. IMO kids "learn" aggression. Of course we are all wired differently but more often than not the 'push" comes from parents or lack of.

We stayed in quarters just off the main lodge. Snowstorm. Took him to Badger Pass for ski lessons. He hated it. Too wet, too cold-cried until we got back to the car and started back to the valley. Today he races downhill for UCONN.
