You're reply just reminded me of it.

I think... and many if not most will disagree with this... that today it's more common for the typical fan to root 'against' teams more than for their favorite team. Yes, they have a favorite team and yes, they root for them.... but going by the 'talk' or 'posts on social media' it seems very apparent to me that they are mostly concerned with the 'defeat' of a foe rather than the celebration of their own team's victory. That make sense to you?
