The women in Japan who dye their hair because they, (many of them), hate that everyone in Japan has black hair.
Our foreign exchange student from Japan used to talk about that... how many of her friends would dye their hair various colors to be 'different'. That didn't 'surprise' me but it did make me wince a little because I happen to think that shiny jet black hair color most Japanese women have is gorgeous. I cannot imagine changing such a beautiful color of hair.
