I would if they would take our 3rd (2025) we get for Raheem going to the Falcons - or a later pick in 2025. Only because Newton seems to be a top 15? DL for the next 5 years. I would also do that trade to move up and get Dejean as he looks to be a top 15 safety/CB for the next 5 years. I would also do it for Powers-Johnson if we hadn't signed Mr. Jackson. Here is a recent mock with some trade downs. Sets the DL well, Beebe is solid and many other areas addressed.by since68 - RamsFootballFans.com
Move from 52 to 62 and add a Dominick Puni? - absolutely . . . instead of Baker, I would pick Sweat (DT - Texas), Mehki Wingo (DT - LSU) or Hall (DT - Ohio st). You can get good receivers later like McCaffery, Cowing, Smith, Washington, Williams, etc. Jenkins - absolutely Puni - great pick can play any OL spot Bishop - solid pick / add Kitan Oladapo later if possible I would also be eby since68 - RamsFootballFans.com
Trade back and get more picks. From 52, trading back even 25 - 30 spots is ok if we add good picks to our chances of hitting on some players. There are lots of good players through round 7 and even UDFA. Get as many of them as we can. You never know which ones are going to develop and contribute. Look at all the 5th/6th/7th/UDFA round picks that "star" in the league. QB -by since68 - RamsFootballFans.com
Get Latu (hopefully at 19) and then . . . . . . trade and get Murphy as well. Or reverse the order if neededby since68 - RamsFootballFans.com
Why would "a team" trade for Deebo or Aiyuk (and their huge contracts/age), when they could draft Odunze (similar or better than Deebo/Aiyuk if scouts are correct) and have him on a rookie contract? If the niners pull this off and get Odunze for Aiyuk and his $30mil/yr upcoming contract, Lynch is genius.by since68 - RamsFootballFans.com

That was one of the "truths of life" my dad gave me. It usually works out pretty good - especially the don't believe what most people say . . . . . . and especially in the high stakes "game" that is the NFL draft. Rumors are often meant to sway the opinion/actions of others so that you/your team benefits.by since68 - RamsFootballFans.com
I would be for it if McVay thinks it is good . . . . . . but who is going to play DT and who is going to play edge? Are we going to win every game 40 - 37? Actually, that sounds like a lot of great games to watch. I can see it now, Stafford goes for 421 yards and 5 tds as the Rams slip by the niners 47 - 45.by since68 - RamsFootballFans.com
If the Rams are going to trade up to say #9, they must have 2/3/4 players in mind - not knowing for sure who will be there? So they must be ok with 1. Latu?, 2. Murphy?, 3. Bowers?, 4. Dejean? 5. Mitchell? / Odunze? / Alt? My thought is keep it simple: They need Edge and DT right now. They could use Bowers, if they see him as "generational". They could use a good safetby since68 - RamsFootballFans.com
Harbaugh really knows the kid. If he really believes what he says about McCarthy, it would make sense to draft him (on rookie deal so can pack roster with others) and trade Herbert.by since68 - RamsFootballFans.com

I really think the Rams would like to trade up and get Odunze, Murphy or Latu between 9 and 15? (who wouldn't), but they have too many needs on the DL to trade away picks. They could go WR and try to outscore everyone, but I don't think so as offense is already set for 30/game? I think they do the prudent thing and go DT/ED or ED/DT. I want Latu or Murphy at 19, but I think they're gone, so I'by since68 - RamsFootballFans.com
There were 2/3 that are listed as 2024 by PFF, but 2025 by DraftScout.com. I was too lazy to do the research so I just listed them as 2024. Sorry if they are actually 2025. What do you think of Bo Richter ?by since68 - RamsFootballFans.com
I think you might be right. I think all the guys listed are later in the draft, if at all/UDFA types. But because PFF rated them high in at least one area, they have some talent.by since68 - RamsFootballFans.com
Because the Rams drafted Turner and Nacua last year (both highly rated by PFF but somewhat unknown), I thought it might be a good idea to keep an eye on players from this year’s draft highly rated by PFF, but not talked about/rated highly by draft sites. Some are generally rated high, others are rated high in just one area. For instance an OL might be very good in pass pro but not good in run bloby since68 - RamsFootballFans.com
Thank you for all your work. It is an awesome list. Assuming Caleb, Maye, Daniels, JJ, Alt, MH Jr, Odunze, Bowers and Malik have been taken . . . . . . and you are going to trade up to #10, name the top 3 players you would go after . . . or would you stay & pick at 19 . . . or trade back? 1. 2. 3. Thanks for the thread. This is fun stuff. Would love your 2 picks: 1) Johnny Newton, 2) Ricky Pearsall or Mitchell and Cooper as chico posted. I'm going to have to think a little before I pick. Thanks again.by since68 - RamsFootballFans.com
I too see Latu as the better pick of the 3 - Turner, Verse and Latu. Latu's college production and combine numbers put him in some rare company as far as edges coming out of college in the last 7 - 10 years. Like Alyo said, for Latu to have the advanced hand, etc. skills he shows, he must have put in hours of study and practice, a good sign of dedication/work ethic. Good news on Elliss - 6.69 on the 3 cone . . . and he has good production from this past year . . . . . . and he's from a family of NFL players . . . and he is young/room for growth. I would be happy if he was the edge we end up drafting. Good news on Chop for the last several days. I would be happy if he was the edge we end up drafting. I read this at the draftscout.com site. If this is correct, it's the fastest 3 cone time I have seen of the major edge names. Aiden Hutchinson - 6.73 TJ Watt - 6.79 Max Crosby - 6.89 Joey Bosa - 6.89 Micah Parsons - 6.96 Chop Robinson - 6.98 I read somewhere that a 6.89 or less 3 cone for an edge is an elite time. If he really ran 6.69, that is quite remarkableby since68 - RamsFootballFans.com

Tom Brady made a career out of throwing 6 yard passes on 3rd and 5 to "small" quick receivers who knew the offense, understood defenses and had numerous quick moves they could use to get open - Welker, Amendola, Edelman, Brown, etc. He also threw 5 yard passes on first down to the same guys knowing it was fairly automatic and kept drives going/got them into 2nd and shorts. When you look at the % of games above 70 (as rated by PFF) during the last year of college for leading edge rushers . . . . . . an interesting pattern develops: The leading edge rushers in the NFL have the highest scores when graded by % of games rated above 70 by PFF.
