If the Rams are going to trade up to say #9, they must have 2/3/4 players in mind - not knowing for sure who will be there?
So they must be ok with 1. Latu?, 2. Murphy?, 3. Bowers?, 4. Dejean? 5. Mitchell? / Odunze? / Alt?
My thought is keep it simple:
They need Edge and DT right now.They could use Bowers, if they see him as "generational".
They could use a good safety, but not sure Dejean is seen as a top 10 pick or worth trading up for?
They don't "need" OL or CB right away and WR is very deep in this draft.
I'm thinking Latu because depth in this draft is better at DT than edge (they can get a good DT at 83/99) and they are hearing other teams are looking at Latu early in the first round.
Are they worth this trade up?
- I don't think Murphy is
- if he plays up to his college/combine numbers (nearly identical to Nick Bosa), Latu is worth it.
Of course, as usual, this could be all wrong and they trade up for 5'9" WR.
