Agreed. The owners are making their money and I don't begrudge the players, who's bodies take a terrible pounding, from making big bucks while they can.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
This article states that the injury rate is about the same, however, every player quoted said grass is so much better. Historically grass has always been superior to fake turf for fewer injuries but the gap has narrowed. I assumed that Stan would have done the football-smart thing and installed grass but he went with fake. I'm sure money and maintenance has a lot to do with it.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Generally I'd be fine with getting Goff again depending on price and if he's to be a back-up or starter. He's proven he has the arm and the skill to get a team to a SB when he's on a strong team with a solid O Line. Three concerns exist: 1) Will he prove that he's a solid enough QB to get a team to the playoffs when he doesn't have a superior Oline and receiving threats? I woke up and fell outta bed. Then I dragged a comb across my head. Found my way downstairs and drank a cup, then I looked up and saw that I was late. Found my coat and grabbed my hat, made the bus by a few seconds. At work I swung a multi-million dollar deal by taking the client rep. out to a nice lunch and gave him two tickets to the opera, and four tickets to Lions' games. Yeah, I'm not tired of saying "at least we won a SB!" Hell, I live in the Detroit area. You wanna look at things from their perspective? LOL, they're delighted that they has a winning season last year. I'd say they're still riding that high now and they are more positive than us Rams fans. They'd be satisfied with 9-8 season, and making the playoffs would be a pound of Argencove chby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Don't use the word "genius" against McVay like a sarcastic pejorative. Maybe I'm taking your criticism of him too strongly, but I don't think he's claimed to be a genius and IMO he's not a genius coach, but he's a top level coach. Yeah he has a big ego but when young men have that level of success it's easy for them to get puffed up. He's seen and admitted his faults and has workeby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I didn't think highly of that pick. I was wrong. I didn't think highly of drafting Donald. I was wrong. I thought Robinson was a great draft pick. I was wrong.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
As quick as I am to poo-poo the Lions I think that they will do well this year. They play in a weaker division now and they've got talent, and got a monkey off their back last year and that momentum should carry forward under Campbell's coaching style. "Well" being defined as a winning season, i.e. 9-8 or better.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
He typifies the death that bean counters bring to any business when they're given too much power. They focus on pinching pennies so much that degrade vital business and product aspects. Shaw is like American car makers compared to Japanese car makers. Poor quality, cheap products. It's one thing to get a cheap disposable commodity, but that'll never compete at the top level. I don't thinkby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Losing Wags and the two DTs makes us much, much weaker against the run. No knowledgeable person could argue against this logically. Looking at the numbers Gaines got, I'd say it was a fatal error to lose him for that cheap. I see a bad moon risin, bad news on the doorstep, I can't take one more step.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRams43 Also, she made a profound statement about her impression of Avila so far. She said that he is as pro-ready as any rookie she’s seen walk into the building so far. THAT is a helluva statement, huh? Nah, 43 that's just journalist speak. "Pro-ready?" I don't think so at this point. Does he look good, okay sure, but this is all just the pre-season fever that hits so many spby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com

That Gordon is ignorant of reality and his peers have not loved him enough to have taught him correctly. He should stop whining and get some smarts. The NFL is highly competitive and the owners/coaches all want to wear the ring desperately, (except the Ford family). The RBs are getting what they are worth, not what they think they deserve. Just like good public school teachers; they do aby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I never thought Zac had the speed or size to make it as a star RB in the league. I thought he would be good as a backup. OTOH I thought that Mason was a poor choice being as small as he was. Neither of them seemed to be good enough to be a featured RB.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
That's the last piece of the puzzle needed to turn the LOL Lions into a SB caliber team! This will motivate the players to new levels of effort and inspire the coaches to develop game plans that fit the team's abilities to a tee! The Ford family will be vindicated! At last, Detroit will have a reason to celebrate in Jan and Feb!by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
They've got a great QB and I'm told a top FO / management team. They were smart enough to sign our OLine coach Kroener. To me, its a foregone conclusion that they'll be in the playoffs next year.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm not an expert on selection of RB strategy, or on penny pinching on contracts, but I have to say that I think the way our FO has managed the RB situation for the last few years has been a circus. Malcolm Brown has always been dependable and he's come and gone, ditto for Sony Michel. The handling of Hendo and Akers was a little embarrassing to me. Plus, didn't McVay have another little RB aby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I've been watching a chunk of old games featuring Faulk, plus some Gurley games. I'd say Faulk as a half a level better than Gurley. Gurley was very good but Faulk was in a better class. Sigh, I miss seeing that, Faulk was so good.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com

I could easily run 100 yards though not as fast as before. I still jog to keep in shape. I still need to lose some weight however. Sometimes when I sprint I think, "wow, I really suck at running fast!" My other guys, LOL, I guess I doubt it. Some are dead, some are fat and out of shape.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I've played street balls with 100 guys who could have caught that pass. My dog could have caught that pass. Not impressive at all. It's like Popeye eatin a can of spinach when he needs power. WRs and TEs should make that catch in their sleep.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
LOL, Yeah, this guy is stupid. I tend towards practical pessimism but I'm not stupid. Our team has enough talent both in management and in personnel to be a mediocre to average team. I'd like us to get the 1st pick but we're too good and too proud for that.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com

I'm having the same exact reaction and thoughts that I have several years ago when you posted that the Rams were going to win 10 games and go to the playoffs. I was quite negative and pleasantly wrong! Maybe that's a good sign for the Rams! Everything tells me that this year will as bad, if not worse than last year. But I'm also very optimistic about 2024 and I think we'll have a shot at thby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I don't love would be my word but I'll always cherish, appreciate, and admire what he did for us as a Ram. His arm brought us our first ring during a magnificent, marvelous, and magical season.
