Who is McVay? How many games has he won as a HC? Sounds unproven to me. Oh right, he talks good. Why should anyone expect Goff to improve? Most everything and everyone he's learned from under the previous system is gone. Perhaps he gets confused? Didn't Gurley underperform last year? Maybe that is his new norm? Isn't the new line patchworked and untested somewhat? Ditto for the WRs.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Well said GreatRam. Fisher seemed to be the best option at the time. Snead, like Fisher, is a proven failure. This is what you get when organizations are not sufficiently dedicated to winning.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
ZN's list is good and it makes a lot more sense to me. I'd rate Everett and Ferragamo over Bulger. I am very high on Roman, but I'm not familiar with the actual play of Waterfield and Van B. to rate Gabriel over them.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I may be the most pessimistic fan on this site. No chance in hell they finish top five. They don't have the dogs and don't know the system. Too much green. Maybe next year though.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Wow, That was some great work Florida. Thank you. Ya'll ought to feature a weekly highlight, with graphics, for the upcoming season. You have a talent here. coyby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I think you and I are on the same page Ramp. We both want, and probably expect to hear good things about Goff in OTAs. I know that you understand a lot about football, and you, like me, don't get hyped up and expect to make the playoffs, or even play 500 ball, just because a QB looks good at this stage. On the other hand, if the reports about him at this point said, "he really looks bad aby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I've played pick-up football games with guys who could do what Goff did here in OTA practice. "Accurate passes," isn't this the bare minimum expectation for an NFL QB here? This is like expecting a kid to be able to count to 10 in the 5th grade, (unless your kid is Jethro Bodine). No criticism intended of Goff, but its kinda loopy to get excited because he throws hard and accurate.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
So, correct me if I am wrong, but I see it as the oddsmakers vs. the "experts." I'm inclined to go with the oddsmakers, since they're the only ones to have any real skin in the game. Also, maybe I misunderstood, but how does someone win 8.2 games? Maybe that's another bad sign?by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
This doesn't strike me as a good sign. If a rookie from a small school is correcting the coaches, then doesn't it mean that we have suck coaches? If I started correcting my boss during the first month of employment, I'd lose respect for him because I would know he didn't know what he was doing. I would have no confidence in him or his leadership. I'd expect to lose.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm a blue and white guy all the way. I've never liked yellow or gold. Nothing was more artistic than seeing Gabriel completing to Snow. That was art.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
My daughter gave me a gift of some coffee beans from a local specialty. I tried it. It smelled weird and tasted weird/bad. I threw the remaining beans away. Fisher's Rams are like that coffee. I'm about already done for the year. If Fisher comes back next year I expect the same poor-quality product. Why then should I waste my time giving it to a team whose management isn't committed tby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I certainly hope that NFL organizations aren't using Myers-Briggs for decision making. I know lots of companies have paid a lot of money to put their people through Myers-Briggs tests. But I would hope by now that the available evidence about its flaws would have opened their eyes. At the company I worked for, they paid for a ton of us to take training part of which was taking the tests. Iby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Everybody wants to win. There's no real question there. How much does he want to win and what will he do to win are the questions. Ford, the owner of the Lions also wants to win; his track record indicates his desire and acumen. What's that! "Laughable!" you say? Of course, the Lions are Bill's toy. Kroenke is a brilliant business man and I'd say first of all he wants to makeby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm usually more pessimistic than warranted. O me of little faith. But, to thine own self be true.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I've worked quite a bit with statistics. If anyone who reported to me were to say, "I have a sample size of five but I'm discounting one because I feel it is an outlier," I would tell him he doesn't know what he's doing. And I would protect him from ridicule by not letting him exposing his process to anyone else in the company. I understand the value of only looking at the past thrby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I've been a dedicated Rams fan since Deacon Jones, Merlin Olsen, Diron Talbert, and Coy Bacon manned the D-line. Its a great thing I don't make a living predicting game outcomes. Otherwise I'd be asking for spare change here. With respect to my predictions and sports, use the Costanza principle. Also, with respect to the Rams, I'm very negative. I've just been too let down for too long toby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
