I'm not an expert on selection of RB strategy, or on penny pinching on contracts, but I have to say that I think the way our FO has managed the RB situation for the last few years has been a circus. Malcolm Brown has always been dependable and he's come and gone, ditto for Sony Michel. The handling of Hendo and Akers was a little embarrassing to me. Plus, didn't McVay have another little RB aby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I've been watching a chunk of old games featuring Faulk, plus some Gurley games. I'd say Faulk as a half a level better than Gurley. Gurley was very good but Faulk was in a better class. Sigh, I miss seeing that, Faulk was so good.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
The team isn't talented enough to give Kupp the opportunity to be open enough to make all those catches.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com

I could easily run 100 yards though not as fast as before. I still jog to keep in shape. I still need to lose some weight however. Sometimes when I sprint I think, "wow, I really suck at running fast!" My other guys, LOL, I guess I doubt it. Some are dead, some are fat and out of shape.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I've played street balls with 100 guys who could have caught that pass. My dog could have caught that pass. Not impressive at all. It's like Popeye eatin a can of spinach when he needs power. WRs and TEs should make that catch in their sleep.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
LOL, Yeah, this guy is stupid. I tend towards practical pessimism but I'm not stupid. Our team has enough talent both in management and in personnel to be a mediocre to average team. I'd like us to get the 1st pick but we're too good and too proud for that.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Such a wonderful time to be a Ram's fan in the late 60s.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm having the same exact reaction and thoughts that I have several years ago when you posted that the Rams were going to win 10 games and go to the playoffs. I was quite negative and pleasantly wrong! Maybe that's a good sign for the Rams! Everything tells me that this year will as bad, if not worse than last year. But I'm also very optimistic about 2024 and I think we'll have a shot at thby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I don't love would be my word but I'll always cherish, appreciate, and admire what he did for us as a Ram. His arm brought us our first ring during a magnificent, marvelous, and magical season. The Rams' org back then was managed by knuckleheads and a super egotistical coach. The players and fans deserved better.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
He's not that fast but he seems to have powerful, and fluid legs.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Didn't he also own Arsenal for a while and they did well under him I believe. Ownership is one of sport's management's backbones. Committed owners set a standard for their team. I don't think it's coincidence that he's been a winner in these markets. Yes it didn't happen overnight but other owners have been at it longer and faired very poorly (e.g. Fords - Lions).by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com

Floor: 3 wins, Ceiling 7 wins. QB: Push. I think Mayfield is better than Bennet. RB: Push. We had what's his name for a while last season. OL. Huge upgrade. TE. Push. Rookies typically don't contribute much during their first year. WR. Upgrade. Skow and Atwell having more exp. Edge. Downgrade. DL. Downgrade IOL. Big downgrade. CB. Big downgrade. S. Push P. No, they won't be a real load this season. maybe next. Unless they pick up a good starter at Left Tackle. It takes time for OLinemen to get used to the game, new teammates, new coaches, new plays. Like most everybody else I'm very happy they got some OLinemen. McSnead should have figured that out a couple years ago but better late than never. One thing I really like about McVay isby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
It's like the Rams and the Cards. No reason to hate them because they almost always lose to us. We're no longer a threat to the 9ers and they have no reason to respect us.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
If Wash. passed on him I'd think he's damaged goods. Surely we can do better.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
The video made my argument. There's no reason why we can't have a small quick back, a medium back, and a big RB.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Pre draft most of the sites I read had him at 5'11'' and 202 lbs. Maybe he ate two helpings of his mama's spahgetti just before he was weighed so he came in at 215, and he wore lifters. He didn't look like a 215 lb back in the videos I saw of him. I think it's a poor pick because we already have tried the little back approach and it yielded disappointing results. I would have preferred aby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Maybe we have different standards. He's a 6th round pick for a reason. He's 5'11 and weighs just over 200lbs. Some pages have him listed at 6' 215 but I think they're being generous. Here is part of a critical evaluation of him, please note the first sentence. "Evans doesn’t have enough mass to carry appeal as a workhorse. He’s not proficient enough as a receiver to provide immediaby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com

Wasted pick. If he runs a lot he'll be busted up, injured, and be done.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I feel similar to you and JY. I'm delighted that they took a OLineman as their first pick. There was another guy available, Torrence? and some questioned why we didn't pick him, but then our guy was their next best guy. At that point I'm pleased given McSnead's previous "cute" draft picks. I also like the Bennett draft pick. I feel much better about things than I did before thby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
There are a few critics of the draft picks here in Detroit. They already had a good back, and signed another good back, so why draft Gibbs. It's been seen as a wasted or unneeded pick. Anyone who follows Detroit football knew that it was their defense that cost them games and a playoff berth. I think they should have drafted the best D Lineman available. I think the critics are right here.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
That gave me a good laugh. Oh yeah, he ain't won a SB either.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Ego, arrogance, "me not we," lack of relationship-trust with his coaches since so many leave or he gets rid of them, and a strong commitment to the team's success. If I had his track record of success I'd be the same way. Youngest coach in the league, 2 SB appearances, one win, multiple playoffs made. Only 1 losing season. That's a lot to be very proud of. He believes in himselfby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
In a post season press conf. McVay criticized himself and said he was impulsive and impatient, (AFAIR). These are bad leadership character traits, yet due to his strengths he's been one of the most successful young HC's in NFL history I'd think. Personally, during this offseason I have not seen anything change. I don't like many of the seemingly haphazard, and very poor, trades we've madby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
