Thank you for taking the time to do a write up.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I only like the blue and white. I never, never, never liked the yellow. I know we won a SB with the yellow, but I just remember the 60s and early 70 teams with blue and white. I know this is a continuing discussion on our board and I don't chip in often, but seeing what Youngblood posted motivated me.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Totally agreed. We do have legit criticisms but we should also realize that he's a great coach and that since he does appear to be learning from his mistakes that he is getting better. I don't think I'm overstating the case but he should be a multiple superbowl winning coach as the future unwinds.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Roman, I agree with most everything you said except for McVay still not being a young coach. Physically he is still a young coach, and exp. wise he's not young but still developing, i.e. not fully mature. Belichick's first 5 or 6 years were far less impressive. Like you I have criticisms of McVay, but I do see him improving, slowly. I hope the Rams keep him for a long time.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I think McVay turns the corner this time!by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Spot on. Intensity, focus, planning. They've out-coached and outplayed us hands down.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I think most guys on this board appreciate what McVay has done for this team. I also think it's fair to identify his poor tendencies and critique them. We want perfection and to win every game. That's normal. While I've been critical of McVay's "cutsey" plays I believe I've seen improvement this season. He's using the run more consistently and running fewer cutsey plays. He's aby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
To be the man you got to beat the man. The 9ers have owned the Rams and they are "the man" to the Rams. If they lose they'll lack confidence going forward and it'll be the end of the line.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Yes, good point Mok. I was against this signing 100%. Then woods got hurt and I thought "maybe we got lucky" in signing him. However, I didn't think he had it in him to play as a team player instead of a showboat wanting all the focus. After watching him during the last game I could see that I was wrong about him. Now I'm kinda happy we have him.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm less worried about Stafford than I am about McVay and his lack of killer instinct grudge against our base rival. I do believe that we will win but I'm not confident that we will. I also agree with your point that Stafford can't afford to make the type of mistakes he's made the last few games and still expect to win. This game is too brutal, too unforgiving, to allow for that.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Oh oh, it's headed on the downward slope. Bad news on the doorstep? Bad moon arisin?by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Truthfully, I had written him off and closed the book. Wow, how he's improved himself. Pro bowl alt is something to be very proud of. Mega kudos to him.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Great pic Dog! Hey, ever heard of Merced River Campground? I believe it's a couple miles north of Merced.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
The great American philosopher, Richard Fliehr, stated that "to be the man you gotta beat the man." I think that's the winning mindset. The 9ers have owned us the last couple of years. I don't like hoping someone else takes care of a feared competitor. I think that's a losing attitude. I figure if we want to be the SB champs, we have to be confident against anyone. I just don'tby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Ya know, I thought I saw him sneak Orlando Pace in there for a series too!by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I think you're right. Mok is a pretty intelligent and seasoned poster.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Alice Cooper? Didn't Norman sing about Alice Bodine?by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
We made the playoffs and he's one of the top rated QBs in the entire league and he's being dissed? LOL! Ya'll are being too impatient and too critical. Have a little faith. I am relinquishing my Mantle of Pessimism. I'm a bit optimistic. I'm even beginning to think we'll beat the 9ers in the last game.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I've never sensed that McVay takes this rivalry as seriously as Ram Fans do. I think the 9ers do, along with their coach, and that gives them that added motivation to beat us. Clearly the Rams have fielded better teams but we often seem to be outplayed, outmotivated, by the 9ers.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
He's a good QB. I'm not saying great or elite but he does a good job. Plus, he's owned us pretty good the last few years. If you truly believe he sucks, then what does that say about the Rams? I hate the 9ers as much as anyone but I'm willing to give them the credit they've earned. I wish McVay took them as seriously as most of us do.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Wow, that's impressive. I was negative about him when they drafted him. Looks like he put that time to great use and bumped himself up a couple notches.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
That's a pretty good winning percentage.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
He was a wasted pick in the 3rd round. Nobody should be drafting slow, no-name WRs in the 3rd round.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, I really enjoyed that coach was calling more running plays and Sony playin hard. I also liked seeing Henderson getting some carries in there.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm more pessimistic than you Classical and after watching the Vikes play Chi this week I can't see the Rams losing, all things being equal. The Vikes look like a demoralized team. I think they've lost confidence in the QB and their coach. Maybe I'm wrong as I don't follow them, but they weren't playing inspired ball.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I laughed my head off at that missed call! All I thought of was the Saints game a few years ago. I figured the refs would never, ever, let the Rams get away with another PI call. How did they miss that, it was so blatant! Yeah, it is nice to be on the good side of a bad callby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I thought the Vikes looked bad against Chicago. Both teams looked bad. I like and respect Kirk Cousins but I don't think he's the QB to lead them to the promised land. I don't think their coach is all that great either.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, it seems like he's become a new man this year. I'm glad for him. But boy do the Bears look bad overall.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Grew up in Las Vegas and the Rams' games were the only consistently broadcast games. I was a very young teen then. The D Line and Gabriel to Snow were enchanting and beautiful to watch. Sometimes me and my friends would watch the games together and love watching the D Line tear other teams up.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, got me too. Such a nice feeling. Much appreciation for McVay.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
