Do you see actual room for improvement for Young in a season or two if he stayed with the Rams? Or has he peaked? I'm also concerned about team chemistry with them dumping Young and bringing in Miller. In some sports stacking a team with superstars does not always win championships.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree. Drafting Tutu instead of one of the highly rated OLine men that were available has caused me to lose some confidence in the FO's smarts.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Guys, I would not be so quick to write-off the 49ers and Hawks. The 9ers have whipped us solid the last 2 years and the Hawks have beaten us a couple of times. Both of those teams have playoff experience, proven ownership, and championship coaches. This is the NFL and they ain't the Detroit Lions or the Rams under Fisher. I expect both teams to fight and find a path forward. It's not in tby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I think what Mok said sums up my feelings as well on this topic. There are some things that should be criticized. #1) My goodness, what a humiliation, what an embarrassment, that the Detroit special teams would do that to us. Since Fassel left our special teams have been a weak link. Why hasn't it been fixed? Smart teams will take advantage of our weakness there. #2) Nobody is in love wby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
McVay calls off the dogs of war and calls some of his "cute" plays near the end.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Thank you Florida, I keep forgetting that journalism is in the attention-grabber business. Truth and accuracy are not as important as generating hits and raising revenue. They remind me of WalterFootball. (Hopefully nobody takes offense to that).by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Thanks for Posting 43. I've been watching that on the highlight video repeatedly. That's my favorite Stafford play since he's been a Ram!by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
There is something wrong, something low, with a grade of 61 for a QB who throws 4TDs, is 22/28, and has a QBR of 128.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Changed my prediction since I learned that DJ is going to play. I think it is irresponsible for the Giants to put him back on the field this fast, especially since AD is playing.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
At this point it sounds like Jones, Golladay, and Barkley are going to miss the game. Here's a pic of Bark's ankle: Golladay is their #1 receiver. Also looks like they'll be missing a CB and a couple others. The Giants' fans are very pessimistic.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Nice write up, thank you Aly.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, looks like you're right so far. He's a wasted pick. I remember a poster a few months ago said that our OLinemen contracts are coming due next year and that we may lose some of those guys. It would have been great to draft a quality OLineman in the 2nd round. That way they could have gotten some experience.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
The Ram's offense has got to become more lethal and Stafford becomes more familiar with the entire play selection, as he becomes more confident in his O Line, as he becomes more in-tune with his receivers, and as Coach and he know and understand each other. At this point, the only logical direction is up.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
aye, twas a very enjoyable read 43. thank you for posting. It's always enjoyable to read a well-written, and somewhat objective analysis preview of a game.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree with you Leo. The 9ers have kicked our butts the last couple of years and they've had our number. It would be foolish to think that they're going to fold and play a weak game against us. To me, if the Rams can't be them at least once this year then they would still not have what is needed to win a SB.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Tis a tragedy; I hear the angels weep and see their tears fall from the sky.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, I remember when he was traded and it seemed to have been such a bad move to me. I couldn't believe that they would do that. As you said, Roman was the Rams. I wish he had stayed. Now that I think about it, watching Stafford to Kupp reminds me a little of Gabriel to Snow.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm over-confident in the Rams. I have no doubt they will win. I feel that the Rams own the Cards. That is often a bad sign. However, I cannot see any way in which the Cards can outplay the rams on O or D.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteSchuylkill Ram I just can't figure out how this didn't happen more regularly for Stafford in Detroit. He must have really been given a poor supporting cast and direction from coaching. The differences for us (Rams) and them (Lions) are just unbelievable! Actually, you did figure it out. It starts with the ownership, the Ford family. The Lions are their toy. That mentality trickles downby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Your right, how you define a term gives it it's meaning. As I see it, "average" is better than mediocre. Jeff Fisher was a mediocre coach overall, he was below average. I've always thought that mediocre is in the bottom 25 to 35 percent range more or less, whereas average I'd put in the 40 to 60 percent range 4 more or less.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Garrapolo is not a mediocre QB. He's in the "average" cat. Plus, the last couple of years he's seemed to eat the Rams for lunch and laugh while he was doing it. I have a lot of respect for him and I'd also like to see AD sack him so hard he wakes up in China. Everything else in your write up was good. Always a pleasure to read your work DP. Thank you.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I liked the last season of Bosch. Kinda sad it ended. I thought this last season was on par with the others.by Coy Bacon - Bucky's Pub
I like and respect Brady. He's a great competitor and he's angry that he lost. He's the GOAT so why should he care? Instead, he takes the game seriously enough to be angry when he loses. I respect him more for that. Brady is showing what losing looks like. This is what losing sounds like.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Nice write up Mok, thank you. I think everything you said was on target and I had similar reactions and observations. For a while there they reminded me of the GSOT.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Wow, I'm really impressed with our team, coaching and players. Wow, such a nice win. At times it looked like Stafford could be eating and PB&J sandwich while waiting for the receivers to get open. Very impressive team play across the board.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Sorry, I'm just not convinced that as a whole, from personnel to coaching we have it.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I feel the same exact way both posters have stated. RFL and LMU stated the way I feel better than I could have stated. McVay is his record and he's a very good coach. I'd like to see him develop the meticulous, focused, less emotional, "Terminator" attitude that Belichek has coupled with a "make war in the trenches" approach. It took many years for Belichek to grow intby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I saw that also, Goff looked more comfortable. I think McVay micro-managed him. That alone is enough to debilitate some people. I've always liked Goff and I'm hoping he does well in Detroit, cept when he plays the Rams.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
