He's a good QB. I'm not saying great or elite but he does a good job. Plus, he's owned us pretty good the last few years. If you truly believe he sucks, then what does that say about the Rams? I hate the 9ers as much as anyone but I'm willing to give them the credit they've earned. I wish McVay took them as seriously as most of us do.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Wow, that's impressive. I was negative about him when they drafted him. Looks like he put that time to great use and bumped himself up a couple notches.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
That's a pretty good winning percentage.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
He was a wasted pick in the 3rd round. Nobody should be drafting slow, no-name WRs in the 3rd round.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, I really enjoyed that coach was calling more running plays and Sony playin hard. I also liked seeing Henderson getting some carries in there.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm more pessimistic than you Classical and after watching the Vikes play Chi this week I can't see the Rams losing, all things being equal. The Vikes look like a demoralized team. I think they've lost confidence in the QB and their coach. Maybe I'm wrong as I don't follow them, but they weren't playing inspired ball.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I laughed my head off at that missed call! All I thought of was the Saints game a few years ago. I figured the refs would never, ever, let the Rams get away with another PI call. How did they miss that, it was so blatant! Yeah, it is nice to be on the good side of a bad callby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I thought the Vikes looked bad against Chicago. Both teams looked bad. I like and respect Kirk Cousins but I don't think he's the QB to lead them to the promised land. I don't think their coach is all that great either.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, it seems like he's become a new man this year. I'm glad for him. But boy do the Bears look bad overall.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Grew up in Las Vegas and the Rams' games were the only consistently broadcast games. I was a very young teen then. The D Line and Gabriel to Snow were enchanting and beautiful to watch. Sometimes me and my friends would watch the games together and love watching the D Line tear other teams up.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, got me too. Such a nice feeling. Much appreciation for McVay.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Youngblood, I disagree. I think Ramgator's point does apply to Stafford and his mention of Steve Young is a perfect example. Maybe Stafford's "Mr. Hyde" was a result of him being worn down by carrying too much of the load all the time. No QB is perfect. I'm one of the more pessimistic guys on this board but I think Stafford is going to continue to improve as he becomes more cby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Does Stafford's w/l record against strong winning teams have any merit? I don't think so; in fact I'd say it's meaningless. Football is foremost a team game; if you play on a lousy team, your record will reflect that. As of today Stafford, is the #3 ranked QB here: is the #3 ranked QB here: is the #2 ranked QB here: That's pretty damn good! Stafford has earned the benefit of theby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Didn't they win a game a couple weeks ago? Not that that changes anything in your point. As long as the Fords own the Lions, the Lions are going to suck. The Fords view the team as a rich man's hobby, a plaything, and their FO knows it. That percolates down to the players. In the gut-check game of football that haphazard approach spells "losing."by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Hey James, we're all in this together. I didn't think the Rams would win but they did! Instead of criticizing each other, let's enjoy the win together.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I'd say one of his best certainly. I was glad to see him run the ball more, but I'd like to see more runs. Certainly an A+ grade.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I have to go with the Cards on this one. I don't think a good merc group can beat a solid team.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I think you have to blame McVay and Snead for those bad moves and missed opportunities. Don't get me wrong, we're so fortunate to have McVay; I haven't forgotten the Fisher years, but McVay et. al. need to improve their thinking if they want to build a more solid team. That Tutu pick was so, so terrible and stupid.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Thank you H2, What you said makes sense to me. I watched some of the highlights and saw how windy it was. Personally, I wish that Stan would have gone out and spent the money needed to bring Belichick to LA. I'm very pleased with McVay but I wanted the best coach. I also know that that might be an unpopular opinion, but I want to win, and he's got the rings.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Belichick drafted a good QB in Jones and he's done OK as a rookie, yet in their last game, a win against a good Buffalo team, they passed the ball only 3 times! That's fascinating to me. In a game that's often dominated by passing QBs he chose to run the ball most of the time. I'm wondering if he's seeing something about the run game's effectiveness that others have missed. Any thoughts?by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I live in the Detroit area and I'm very happy they won. This poor town has had so many poor sports teams of recent years. Gone are the great Hockey, BBall, and Baseball teams. I don't think they could have taken the stigma of having a 0-17 football team. I'm also glad for Goff that he did good. Ditto for Reynolds. But both of them had a couple of bad plays / drops in that game as well.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
The Rams should win this one easily.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I don't think McVay has turned the corner on his play calling and I believe that a motivated Green Bay team will beat a team with a merc attitude. This feels similar to the TN game to me, only worse.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Most of the time stacking a team with mercs creates dissonance within the hearts and minds of the regular players. The "espirit de corps" is lost. That's what I feared with the Odell signing. What bothers me more is that our F.O. is oblivious to that. That should be known and it is a team building 201 course topic.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
For me, it gives me an opportunity to size up my analysis ability of how the Rams will do against any given team. For example, this week I feel that the team's chemistry has been disrupted and I think the Rams will lose. Sometimes I'm right, and I can be wrong, makes no difference how I pick my game. (Name that song!). So far this season, my biggest surprise, and disappointment was the TNby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm thinking too much dissonance has disrupted the team's chemistry. Like other's I'd love to be wrong. I know I tend to be more pessimistic but this rollercoaster has me doubting the FO's wisdom.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Thank you Ramsdude! That was great.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
The Ram's FO is acting like a spoiled kid in a candy store. I see a bad moon rising. Are they really taking "winning" seriously?by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Thanks for posting this Glacie, it was great to watch!by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree with Ramsdude. Let's see some evidence before we judge this. I remember a few other bad moves and trades our FO has done that panned out poorly. Things that look good on paper, like this trade, don't always pan out.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
