What was the ruling on the play that was initially ruled a TD by Littleton? Mahomes' arm was moving forward, but Westbrooks knocked the ball out of his hand before the pass came out. So it seems that the initial call of a live ball was correct. On the other hand, rules change so often (tuck rule, etc.) that it's hard to keep up with them.by L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com
Kupp is one of my favorite players, but I think it will be much easier to compensate for his loss than it would be if the Rams were to lose Zuerlein again. Imagine the Rams in a big game that is close near the end. Would you want to see the outcome riding on the likes of Sam Ficken making a 45 yard FG on the Rams final possession? I would much rather see the Rams faced with taking up the slack afby L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com
The Rams were Super Bowl favorites going into the 1970 season, but they struggled in a 20-6 loss to the 49ers early in the season. Roman Gabriel got knocked unconscious in that game. The offense was so sluggish that day that the Rams actually punted on third down one time! The second game with the 49ers was a sweet 30-13 victory that got the Rams back in contention for the division. After that gaby L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com
At three points during the game, I noticed that the current score was the same as the final scores of losses to the Vikings in 1974, 1988, and 1998, with the exception that it was reversed (Rams were leading).by L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com
One of the reasons I have often avoided this forum and have decided again to do so is that the admins talk a big game with threats to ban, but they allow bad behavior to go unchecked. In my post, I expressed concerns and backed them up with examples. The replies used terms such as "hate" and "crazy town" to mischaracterize my post. I couldn't stomach the way the Rams season came to an end. I had to stop watching the playoff game when it became clear that the Rams weren't prepared for it, and I had to get away from it for a while. I have noticed that Sean McVay has something in common with Mike Martz. He is an offensive genius, but he can also be clueless. I am hoping that this is mainly due to his youth and that, unlike Marby L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com

Having talent and being in prime physical condition trumps experience on the football field. In this game, the Youngbloods -- Goff, Gurley, Donald, Kupp, Cooper, McVay, etc -- will prevail over a team that has experience choking in the postseason.by L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com
The so-called experts are making a lot of noise about how the Rams should fear Julio Jones and how he's going to lead the Falcons to victory. The dude is a great WR, but he is no better than what the Rams faced in 1999, with Randy Moss in his prime and a great veteran in Chris Carter. If a great WR could take over a game, why didn't the Lions, with Calvin Johnson, who is even better than Jones, eby L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com
Jeff Fisher was supposed to be a good hire for the Rams, and Sam Bradford was supposed to be the answer at QB. It never went anywhere. It quickly became clear that it was all a sham (obvious apparently to all but Rams management), but it dragged on for five awful years. Having that come after all those awful seasons made it the darkest era for me as a Rams fan.by L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com

...Tavon Austin looked like a clown in the 49ers game. There he was with his great big fat contract getting some playing time in a meaningless game, and he had a look on his face like one of the scrubs on a high school team getting into a game. I'm curious what other Rams fans regard as the darkest era of Rams football. I have followed the Rams since the late 1960s. Before George Allen came along in 1966, the Rams had a long dark era. After Allen left, they had a few mediocre seasons, but they still had a fair amount of talent and were able to remain in the running for the playoffs until late in those seasons. After a great run under Chby L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com
It is indeed very difficult to overcome a play like that. Another example is a fumble at the one yard line, which caused the Rams to lose two games this season! In the Titans game, the bad play wasn't as bad as a fumble at the one yard line. The Rams were backed up inside their 10 yard line. So the Titans could have forced a punt and then used good field position to score a TD. It is more damaginby L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com

The 2017 season has some interesting similarities to the 1999 season. The Rams, Vikings, Jags, Titans, and Bills all made the playoffs both seasons (the Bills hadn't made the playoffs since 1999). This is a historic game for two reasons. The first in franchise history for the Falcons, and the first in George Allen's career as a head coach. It is interesting that the Falcons and Saints both had their first games in their history against the Rams.by L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com
The rankings that had them at 3 to 5 are based on objective rankings -- which often boils down to the whims of some dude. My site may be obscure, but as a professional mathematician I probably know more about statistics than anyone who runs the other sites.by L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com
The power rankings are just a statistic. As for other stats (such as yards gained by a RB, number of receptions by a WR, completion percentage by a QB, etc.), every game and every bit of information counts. If you treat certain games special or throw out some of the information (e.g., not counting an interception of a pass that was tipped at the line), the data analysis loses objectivity.
