A late season game in Seattle would be the perfect time for Gurley to have such a performance.by L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com
The current Rams team has some similarities to the 1999 Rams in terms of coming out of nowhere and having a potent offense. Thinking back to those Rams teams, I pulled out copies of their games. It occurred to me that the '00 season ended with an oh-oh. I'm sure most of you will immediately remember. Late in the season, the Rams rode the shoulders of Marshall Faulk (who won the MVP that year) intby L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com
...don't the Rams have several blowout victories this season? They have a 9-4 record. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't fumbles at the one yard have a lot to do with two of those losses? Should they really have lost to the Redskins? They were in a position to beat the Eagles, but they fumbled that game away, too. This team could easily be 11-2 or 12-1. I have a feeling that Gurley has a 200 yard game in him. Maybe against the Seahawks on Sunday.by L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com
So far, I am less than impressed. Watkins has made some plays. The Rams desperately needed help at WR, and they have benefitted from Watkins. But he hasn't even come close to proving that he merits a big contract. Unless he has some big games down the stretch, the Rams would be better off looking elsewhere for help at WR next year.by L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com
I believe the Rams have as much of an opportunity as any team to host the NFC Championship. They should win the rest of their games. If not, there is something wrong with the heart of this team. If they win out, they will at least get the #3 seed. Let's say that happens and they win a home playoff game against a wildcard team. Let's also assume the Vikings get the #2 seed. Fassel has done some great things as special teams coach, but his failure to reduce penalties (on every other return and more than once on opposing FG attempts) indicates that he doesn't get it when it comes to details. On the basis of how the Rams let the clock bleed away when they had the ball with about 3:00 to go, it seems that McVay also has a thing or two to learn about details.by L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree with your assessment, and apparently so do the Bills, who let him go for much lower compensation than the draft choice they had invested in him.by L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com
I have noticed plays in which passes to Sammy Watkins appear to be slightly overthrown and might be catchable, but he slows down and doesn't make an effort to catch the ball. Sorry that I can't provide specific examples -- these are plays that I have seen during the course of the season and I didn't take notes. However, there has been more than just one. Not picking on the Rams after the loss, but I noted at least three stupid things they did that were very costly: 1. Calling a time out when the Eagles had a third down late in the first half. The Eagles seemed to be in no hurry. It appeared that the clock would run down to well under a minute if they didn't get the first down. When the defense calls a time out in that situation, a smart opponeby L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com

The power rankings are based on the method of least squares, which is a standard approach for analyzing data. No model can predict the outcomes of games from week to week, but the least squares approach (which was invented about 200 years ago by the greatest mathematician who ever lived) is completely objective and probably as good as any approach for estimating power rankings. ...The Jags should be favored by seven over the Seahawks after accounting for HFA. I wouldn't be surprised if they get a good hit on Wilson. Sooner or later, his scrambling is going to result in an injury. The Jags have some physical and athletic players on D. I usually wait until after the Monday night game before updating the power rankings. After attending the 1986 opener between the Rams and Cardinals in St. Louis, I was standing outside the stadium as the Rams came out. I got autographs from Eric Dickerson, Dennis Harrah, and others.
