He has the profile of a lethal WR. Think of a top 3 WRs with Kupp, Allen and Harris, all big targets. Gotta be some quick pass options on every play, right? On the goal line? A QB like Matt could do a lot of damage with those 3 together.by RFL - RamsFootballFans.com
College all stars vs. NFL Champs, I think. Not much of a comp, but, yeah. Football was back.by RFL - RamsFootballFans.com
1968 (?) Junior Hi. I read a season preview article about the Rams. The Foursome. Gabriel. Pix of the horns and those white uniforms ... It was a Chicago suburb. But the Bears seemed boring and something tugged at my nerve endings. I had been noticing them on TV but now I swallowed the lure all the way down. Been paying for that look at the mag ever since. Didn't buy it, though.by RFL - RamsFootballFans.com
I avoid Twitter as much as possible and the extra click and load are annoying. Just summarize in 1 sentence. Then folks can click through if they wish. Thank you.by RFL - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRamstien Sorry, I will trust the Rams scouting department and their player development department, they seem to know what they are doing. This is just a general comment. Fans often say they trust the team's FO because it has the experts. Of course, on many levels, this is an unassailable position. FOs have skills fans can't have. However, FOs make mistakes. Hell, our FO makes them.by RFL - RamsFootballFans.com
And I absolutely oppose making any signings before we need them. There is no way to know what position will be hit with injuries. You know, a Ram myth has grown up about the Rams making killer moves to get a ring. But killer moves are nowhere near enough to earn a ring. Our FO did so much to put us in position for a couple of killer moves to tip the balance. Ram Nation has become besottedby RFL - RamsFootballFans.com
He is a type of WR we haven't ever really had. And one that will fit in our passing game very, very well. I am excited also.by RFL - RamsFootballFans.com
I am really hoping that our ILB play provides a solid foundation in the middle that we have lacked forever. To compete with SF and Tenn you must be stout against the run. We have not been firm there for a long time. I know the Ram braintrust doesn't agree with me. But I believe that a solid middle will improve our D more than another pass rusher will.by RFL - RamsFootballFans.com
I merely respond--minimally I think--to the astonishing amount of Tutu talk that keeps cropping up. I promise you that I spend zero time thinking about the guy. I don't have any belief in him. I have nothing to say about him. I do get irritated by what seems to me to be pointless Tutu-noise. But I don't really have anything else to say about even that. So, I am out. I am astonished at all the Tutu talk. There is nothing whatsoever going on here worthy of discussion. He has not earned anyone's serious interest. I know it's the silly season, but, seriously ...by RFL - RamsFootballFans.com
With :30 left trailing or tied in a freaking playoff game? Anyone who doesn't rate Matthew as a truly elite QB after last post-season is deeply immured in bias.by RFL - RamsFootballFans.com
I cannot imagine him as more than a marginal contributor. I doubt he'll offer even that. And compared to a quality OL? That pick will never look good. Love to be wrong. But I cannot imagine it.by RFL - RamsFootballFans.com
I have a very, very good feeling about this guy.by RFL - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteBerendsenRam The Rams kicked the can, like many teams do. With the salary cap on the front end of a major growth spurt, any dollars deferred from 2022 into future years will have a reduced impact, since they’ll reflect a smaller percentage of the overall cap. Still, the team’s approach to paying big money to multiple players has a practical impact.... The Rams risk reliance on young, cheaby RFL - RamsFootballFans.com
Seems very promising. Lots of our new youth have really good assets that, on paper, look good. I do think that, as the discussion of Rapp indicates, we have had some personnel mismatches with our current scheme. If we get a number of, not superstars, but solid guys who FIT, we can be more sound. I am hopeful.by RFL - RamsFootballFans.com

QuoteBigGame81 And besides, in this league, you know injuries are inevitable. True. Now can you gurantee that the injury will be at WR? Or that OBJ would be the ONLY WR who could fill the need? We will have mid-season needs. I prefer having assets to be flexible in meeting them.by RFL - RamsFootballFans.com
It's a factor. I think the others are much greater factors. They are about our team. The training thing is only about maximizing the single player. And I just don't think we need him.by RFL - RamsFootballFans.com
No one knows how much OBJ will have to give when he recovers. We haven't signed him ... but no one else has, either. No one will give him a big number until he proves his health. And that won't happen until mid-season at best. Why sign him earlier? And the thing is, we may very well not need him. We already have a lot of weapons. If it is me, I wait till mid-season to see whether we neeby RFL - RamsFootballFans.com
We certainly want what he has to offer for the next couple of years. It's been fantastic. It certainly will continue to be for a couple of more years. But all players age out. AD could conceivably lose some desire, and will is at least as important to AD as his body. It has been an incredible luxury to have him as an anchor. But he will leave, now or later. We will have to defend without hiby RFL - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm definitely old school. But I still believe that, even in today's NFL, you must be able to stop the running game. Then you play SF or TENN and it's a matter of survival. Pass rushes don't work on 2nd and 2. And if you have to distort your scheme to deal with power runs you open doors elsewhere. Stop the damn run. A genuinely sound defense does that. I value his sort of WR assets more highly than I do speed.by RFL - RamsFootballFans.com
Everyone thinks back to his '21 impact, which was considerable. As usual, the past is projected forward, always a dubious practice. Every year is a new one. We added an excellent WR already, a guy who adds a dimension we have lacked. OBJ isn't really a speedster and I think our signed WR corps will be as productive as ever. I don't see a crying need for what OBJ offers. As I have said beby RFL - RamsFootballFans.com
We have been almost exclusively a finesse OL recently. We get pushed back pass blocking and, worse, we cannot blow anyone back in the run game. From what I hear, Bruss can help. But of course there is no guarantee. I just have little faith in our current guys on the interior.by RFL - RamsFootballFans.com
Half a year with little guarantee of health? I would not pay much until A. OBJ proves his health and B. we assess our late season roster needs against the cap. Who knows what position develops as a major need in Nov? I also wonder if OBJ's good behavior is sustainable. Some flaky guys can behave for a season and then slide again into bad habits. What do I know? Not a damn thing. But I am leby RFL - RamsFootballFans.com
For us to develop a killer vertical arttack in short yardage and on the goal line. Many years. Interested to see here that Higs is 6.6. Didn't know he was that tall. Why isn't he a quick slant killer scoring 5 TDs a year? We clearly have the raw materials to establish a vertical passing threat. Let's do it!by RFL - RamsFootballFans.com
I have always thought that Aaron is a penetrator with the inevitable limitation of narrow impact. An army that opens a narrow salient in the enemy must broaden the opening to firmly establish it. If not, the penetrating corridor is vulnerable. Aaron is historically great at penetrating. But he is one player. And not the sort that clogs up a couple of gaps at once. That has led to our chroniby RFL - RamsFootballFans.com
