Sean McVay recalls funny story from 2017 argument he had with Matt LaFleur Cameron DaSilva Sean McVay and Matt LaFleur were only on the Rams coaching staff together for one year, but their relationship goes back much longer than that single 2017 season. Not too surprising a list. But Noteboom is gonna make the 53, unless they don’t count him, if PUP’ed. I see them carrying at least 9 OL players, not just 8. And place kicker seems like a coin flip at this point.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
49ers gave Rams the blueprint for how to manage RB committee Cameron DaSilva The Rams are making the transition from having a true workhorse back to likely utilizing more of a committee approach in the backfield this year. Here’s BonifayRam... The DL ...better Okay IMO its far much better with the veteran leadership of Brockers & Donald alone is a foundational super fortress alone then when you add the massive run stopping presence of Robinson to the other two...well I think it should be one of the better 34 DL's in the NFL. QuoteSoCalRAMatic It seems like Wade almost never blitzed. And, it always was explained that the best reason to run a 3-4 is to hide where a blitzer is coming from on any given play. Hopefully the new guy is more aggressive. All I know is that McVay has said that Fangio’s D’s gave him the most fits, and Staley is a Fangio disciple. Sooooo...by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Our pressure rate might just be even better this year, Teach. Because of Staley’s schemes, if nothing else. I think Staley is gonna do a better job of confusing QB’s and that extra half second hesitation is gonna work in our D’s favor.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Not unlike my feelings about Kupp in ‘17. We’ll see if my warm and fuzzy feelings are justified. But right now I’m thinking this kid could prove to be a 2nd round steal in a loaded WR draft. There, I said it.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com

For example, OLB is a mixed bag. Floyd might not be the pass rusher that Fowler was but he’s better in drops and slightly better in run D. Anyone of 4 candidates for the other side should be better in run D than Matthews was in ‘19. So, I think that ‘same’ would be a more accurate grade at OLB. I think CB is now better. What could be more foolish than trying to predict an NFL team’s status three years in advance? Might as well try for the weather forecast on September 5th, 2023. Lol.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Couldn’t they have a season that began in October and ended in late January? Or a November-February season? Followed by the usual playoffs? Not ideal, but certainly doable, if necessary. Would keep medical treatment options open for an additional 30-60 days, maybe longer. Who knows what medical advancements might be developed by November, given how hard they’re working on this? And they are not mutually exclusive. 1. The virus will almost certainly spread from player to player as they practice and play together. 2. The players are in an extremely low death risk group as a result of virus infection. So, what should be done? And what will be done? Training camps will start on time, but what is everyone walking into? Doug Farrar Per Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, the NFL and its 32 teams have agreed that under the current Collective Bargaining Agreement, training camp will start on time. I am not-so-slowly coming around to the point where I’m not so sure I care anymore whether we have an NFL season. Pains me to admit that. I sure love following the game and especially my Rams. NFL’s proposal dramatically cuts player pay if season is canceled The Collective Bargaining Agreement does not include a force majeure clause. Why has everyone lost faith in LA Rams HC Sean McVay? LA Rams head coach Sean McVay roared into NFL prominence from the moment he took over the team. 11 wins followed by 13 wins and a Super Bowl berth (In that contest, the Rams were just two Brandin Cooks drops away from winning it), and a 9 win season. It’s true that the Rams will be relying on help from some rookies, but it’s not true that those rookies are unknowns. Rookie RB’s often have great rookie years. Akers looks like a real prospect to replace the injured Gurley. Hendy might have a good 2nd year. In combo, I see these two as an upgrade over the cranky ‘19 Gurley. I’m serious. QuoteClassicalwit Considering that both came to the NFL in 2015: Peters has 27 Ints, and 7 TDs (6 Int TDs, 1 fum rec TD), gone to 3 Pro Bowls, and made 1st team All Pro twice. Report: Cam Akers stood out in Rams' virtual offseason program Cameron DaSilva It’s been an exceptionally difficult offseason for rookies in the NFL this year, coming into the league with no OTAs or minicamp in the spring and into the summer. I completely agree with your RB take, 53. I might add that Jefferson/Reynolds might well be an upgrade over the ‘19 Cooks. Also, JJ/Rapp/ Burgess is clearly an upgrade over Weddle/Rapp. Wouldn’t be a stretch to think some combo of Ebu/Obo/Lewis/Polite might be an upgrade over the fading Clay Matthews, either.
