Considering that both came to the NFL in 2015:
Peters has 27 Ints, and 7 TDs (6 Int TDs, 1 fum rec TD), gone to 3 Pro Bowls, and made 1st team All Pro twice.
Hill has 4 Ints and 0 TDs during that same period, no Pro Bowls and has never made an All Pro team.
Peters is a boom or bust player as Farrar pointed out. So, depending on which stats one chooses to focus upon, one could paint Peters as either All World or as a disaster.
I was happy when Snead brought Peters aboard. But I’ve gotta admit that I didn’t like his tackling and he was weak in man coverage. And those Many blown coverages really hurt this team. Honestly, I wish him well with the Ravens but I don’t miss him one bit.
Troy Hill had a good ‘19 season. Took him 5 years to get there, but he did finally get there, didn’t he? He’s basically a zone CB, too, and I don’t know that he has a long term future as a Ram, especially with this deep Ram CB bench. But he’s steady, not the gambler Peters is and relatively cheap. Let’s see how the ‘20 Hill chapter plays out. I’m keeping an open mind.
