Well, let me amend that to: best sports writer I have seen in the 25 or so years I have followed American sports coverageby DanishRam - RamsFootballFans.com
You are probably right, but the athletic build itself on its quality rather than its quantity. And I just can’t help but to see a decline in that quality ever since the takeover, but I can absolutely be just paranoid. Just can’t shake the feeling that this is a badly run organization, taking a fairly well run organization, and turning it into itself. Whatever. I truly hope she finds a placeby DanishRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah they were bought out. I think it was back in 21 or 22. In my mind the quality in general has a dipped since then, but maybe I’m just biased. That’s why I really want to see her go out on her own. Exactly like you said, but also because I can’t support the New York Times even through an axillary.by DanishRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Very good post It helps being good that we agree on the non-pic of a wide receiverby DanishRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Do you mean an organization run by the New York Times Don’t understand how to maintain loyal consumers? I am deeply shocked that the paper who hemorrhaged 60% of its reader base in 10 years would make really poor decisions for some thing else they bought. This is incredibly sad and honestly I hope she either finds another place or simply another way of getting the podcast out because she doeby DanishRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, that way of looking at it would be my concert as well and I think you are entirely right decision and scheme why is it just doesn’t seem to me to be worth a lot of the professional commentators are talking about or rather if it is, they’re not doing a very good job of explaining it I feel. Heh, maybe I’m just old fashioned, despite my youth, but I guess I’m just a big fan of professionby DanishRam - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteJimYoungblood53 I just think this guy has an opinion on Fisk that is negative ... for whatever reason and is pinning him as AD's successor. I don;t think that is the case Too many people out there writing on this seem to think that the Rams where/are going to replace Donald with “xx” where xx is anyone really. And of course I could be completely wrong, but I sense like I said pre draftsby DanishRam - RamsFootballFans.com
To put it bluntly. No. Or the long answer, Heck no. It doesn’t matter how good any other player was at any position. Once Verse fell to us, Rams wanted a specific player for very specific reasons at the position we were probably weakest at at that point in time (except kicker) It wasn’t reaching. It wasn’t drafting for need and leaving better choices on the table. It was getting specificalby DanishRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Indeed. I mentioned her ability to form networks and positive relationships but obviously there is more than just that. clearly she is seen as trustworthy as well. Important aspect you mention there.by DanishRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Beyond her obvious writing skill, football knowledge and ability to create good relationships and networking she is always CURIOUS. Every year she seems to have one of these amazing in depth articles out and most of them seem be be based on "What do I not know and what would I want to know more about." Since a lot of that goes for many fans as well (Especially knowledgeable and dedby DanishRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm with you regarding more games for exactly the injury reasons, although i think 16 was a good perfect amount and I'm not ANGRY at 17. At the same time though I'm going to admit the European in me sees 17 games and most of the spring off team training and thinks "Damn. Slackers":-)by DanishRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Thank you so much for the breakdowns!by DanishRam - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteAtlantic Ram I’m one of the few, maybe only, that would have been fine giving up picks for Bowers. To me, the Rams only go as far as Stafford takes him. If this TE was going to take some heat off and potentially help keep Stafford upright, then that all makes sense to me. He appeared to me, not to be a toy, but to be able to do quite a bit to help Stafford. On the flip side, you canby DanishRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Well if you (Or Deadpool) agree with me that precisely on the positions as least then I cant be entirely off in my feelings at least:-)by DanishRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Again I cant really judge players myself but I felt the same seeing his numbers. Wouldn't have been ANGRY at it, but hoped it would someone else.by DanishRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Here is what I thought was a fun thought experience now that we have several months before anything really interesting happens again (Unless we have some FA fun of course:-)) We naturally all discuss the picks made but which position or player that we COULD have chosen and especially if there was speculation that we might are you happy we DIDN'T pull the trigger on? Personally? If it actby DanishRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I mean I care. But if Fiske was the one they wanted and this works out, it basically comes down to a high third rather than a second next year, and in return we got a powerful strong defense line DESPITE Donald leaving. Honestly if they think Fiske and Verse together with Turner, young and whomever can make up (Such as it is) for 99 and maybe even make stronger D than last year I would giveby DanishRam - RamsFootballFans.com
And miss out entirely if that was not accepted? Is the player less important than "economizing" the trade? If they felt Fiske was worth that second how is it overpaying unless you can tell me he isn't good enough for that? I don't know. I'm sure you have better insight than me. Its very hard to catch college football from here after all:-) I DO know that if everything comes toby DanishRam - RamsFootballFans.com
But what if they wanted Fiske SPECIFICALLY. Not Newton. Not anyone else. FISKE. Because of his work with Verse. We all make assumptions but I find it questionable to say they could have done better when we don't know for sure what other teams asked for the trade, what offers was on the table, if there was a bidding war and if they considered getting THIS PARTICULAR player as the success critby DanishRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotedodgerram Would have been a straight A for him if not for giving up next years second rounder. Go Rams!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11 A lot need to go right for everything to go right of course, BUT: If all this pans out we will be a Superbowl competitive team and the 2nd rounder will be almost a third plus if these rookies pan out we might not have any real glaring needs next year in which case weby DanishRam - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteBerendsenRam Mostly facetious here of course but the best fdrafts we seem to have are the oones that are rated LOW immediatly afterwards by the media talking heads :-)by DanishRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Every word you write echo how I feel. No way of knowing how it will all shake out but I've rarely if ever been this psyched after a draft. Only think i wanted and didn't get was a ILB but FA is still an option. Think we are a BIT thin there for backup so would not be surprised at a cheap vet. Or same for TE maybe even though doubtful.by DanishRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Maybe not my favorite draft ever but damn close. Waking up now 7 hours later and I'm still feeling the energy. Damn that was FUN!. If... IF these all pan out we are going to be a special team this year and in 25.by DanishRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Thank you all for a great night. Almost all my hopes so far fulfilled. Sadly its late here and I need to sleep. I hold the rest of you responsible for a WR and CB/ILB/OT with the last picks while im gone:-)by DanishRam - RamsFootballFans.com
WHOOOO! Its getting late here. I need sleep but but damn this have been a fun draft so far. Gonna be interesting to see that last bits when I get back upby DanishRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Lining up the 3rd round RB as ILB. McVay truly IS an innovator:-)by DanishRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I love that. We are really building that post AD line in the RIGHT way I feel. Might take another year before it REALLY jam, but overall I'm not sure this year will be THAT much of a D-line downgrade even without the best defender I ever personally saw. Possibly even an overall improvement.by DanishRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Unless we are trading, and that might happen still despite the very conventional draft otherwise, (Well unconventional for Snead I guess...) we have 4 picks left. My wish is WR, K, and any 2 of CB/ILB/OT. But I don't know enough players to put names on them:thumbsupby DanishRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Nah. We still have 4 picks to go. At LEAST 3 more DT's to be on the safe side;-) No, all joking aside I think its because we are in fact NOT replacing AD, since you cant, but tweaking the scheme a bit which means we might need a lot of players to move around to be able to try different things without Donald to always wreak havoc.by DanishRam - RamsFootballFans.com
