For Fisher to say that, it sounded like he is.by dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
The reason why Goff wouldn’t be starting has very little to do with throws at all. The only part that has anything to do with throwing is knowing where to go with the ball. Fisher said that Goff will play when he knows how to protect himself. Fisher is looking for the little things like recognizing defenses and blitzes, knowing how to audible into correct protections, communicating the play cby dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotereggae You better pick between Cooper and Spruce. 'Cuz none of those guys can run outside. And none of them can block. Austin can return punts and take about 5-8 carries. He's really a RB. Cooper can return Kicks, take 3-4 carries. And run from the slot. Spruce can run the slot. But he's an injury in the ready. I'm not a fan of Austin. And I don't want to waste a ton of cap space on him. Butby dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
How many non-slot receivers with size do they have? It sounds like Thomas has more drops than Quick. I had high hopes for Thomas but it doesn't seem like he's working out.by dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
The safety position besides TJM, what's going on there? Who are the 1's who are the 2's? How did they look? Same for OL.by dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteLMU93 Just a thought.... But wondering if it's just a way to see if any interest in Mannion is drummed up. "Oh wow, look, the Rams like Mannion as a #2. Our backup (insert name here) sucks. And they have Goff so let's see what they'd take for Mannion." I think their long-term plan is for Goff to be the future starter and Mannion to be a good, inexpensive #2. QuoteRams43 We'll get our #1 WR someday. But since I'm assuming that we draft in the low twenties in the 2nd round next year, Snead will have to pull a rabbit out of his hat to get one. Then again, he's done that before all over the roster, huh? Know why I'm not particularly worried about lacking a "#1 WR"? Because we now have multiple weapons on this roster and coaches that seby dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotemoklerman Never said the WR situation hasn't been addressed. But addressed and fixed are two different animals. We've seen coaching moves and player acquisitions before but it still hasn't solved the WR problem the Rams have had. A bunch of neophyte coaches and mid to late round WR projects is par for the Fisher course. I don't think the offense has a whole new feel to it so far this yby dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
That prediction gets you secondsies. :P I was talking about the Rams trading up and drafting Goff – not Wentz – prior to the combine. I predicted they would make a big move up for a QB and would actually have to for job security purposes. I have no predictions for when he’ll start this season.by dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRams43 49 year Ram fan, myself. Lol. I must be sleepy because I read this part as you saying you were a 49er fan. I seriously thought wtf are you doing on our board. Lolby dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
The most important thing will not be the record. It will be how many points has the offense been scoring. If they were 4-0 primarily on the backs of the D, the change to Goff would still happen. If the offense was doing very well, say like scoring 30 points per game, then it wouldn’t happen.by dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
LOL! I can see why you would think it’s over the top and maybe it is, but not by much. For me it’s about context. Start with Foles. You say at the time it looked like a good signing. I agree. I was done with Bradford and liked the 2nd round pick we got. I wasn’t sure if Foles the QB would work out but I got the trade. But what I’m extracting from your response regarding Foles is, if it loby dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
I have to disagree that all four players were very good to great players. Both Long and JL had stopped being in that category several years prior. Their departures were overdue. Also, the Baron check of him being an impact player as an every down player isn’t still waiting to clear. He played 12 games last year as an every down player and made a huge impact. That one is money in the bank.by dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
They were not panned constantly last year. The majority of ripping on Jenks and McLeod that I saw was in the 2014 season and prior. Last year both of those guys played at a very high level and we had very few blown coverages for TDs if any. Contrast that with the 2014 season where seemingly every other game, there would be a huge blown coverage for a TD and no one was really sure if that wasby dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
Very good point about the majority of Goff’s mistakes coming under pressure. In the game thread on Saturday, I commented that his OL looked horrible in pass protection. After rewatching the game, I don’t believe it was horrible but it wasn’t the same type of protection Keenum got. At least part of the time, he was not playing behind the starting OL. Also some of it is his fault for holdinby dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotemax All his passes are no more than 10-15 yards. Granted, thats because he has a popgun arm.... Hasn't this been debunked by Zn already? IIRC, Keenum was in the top third of the league last year in deep passes. And he had a good completion percentage. If he could do it last year with his "popgun" arm, there's no reason he can't do it this year. So a popgun arm is not the reasby dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
Great tackling after the catch his how Tru was rated in the top 5 CBs by PFF last year. All of the Rams CBs gave up high comp. percentages, anywhere from the high 60 percent range to the low 70s. But so far this year, the tackling has been weak and they are letting guys get behind them. That defeats the purpose of the defensive strategy that GW seems to want.by dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
I hear you on the college programs but I'm not buying that Goff is nowhere near ready to play. He's been growing at a very rapid rate; if that continues he'll be ready soon enough.by dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotecanuckramsfans Yeah, I concur on Goff. Hey Fisher....give Goff the Aaron Rodgers Treatment, y'know....like in Green Bay. In his press conference the other day, Fisher said that Britt, Austin, and Coop are obviously their top guys. So Britt is clearly in. He forgot to mention Quick, so who knows. But there are signs that point to him being safe too.by dzrams - Game Time Forum

QuoteSoCalRAMatic Wow that's a lot of negativity I think our D will be a lot better. Laurinitis had lost a step and Tree should easily upgrade the Mike. Chris Long did nearly nothing last season.
