Very good point about the majority of Goff’s mistakes coming under pressure. In the game thread on Saturday, I commented that his OL looked horrible in pass protection.
After rewatching the game, I don’t believe it was horrible but it wasn’t the same type of protection Keenum got. At least part of the time, he was not playing behind the starting OL.
Also some of it is his fault for holding the ball too long. However, that’s a judgment thing and getting used to the speed of the game. He can’t better at either of those things without more snaps when the bullets are flying.
For that reason, I hope he starts or comes in very early in these next two games and gets a lot of passing attempts. We already know what we have with Keenum; he looks ready to start the season now.
