Wow that's a lot of negativity
I think our D will be a lot better. Laurinitis had lost a step and Tree should easily upgrade the Mike. Chris Long did nearly nothing last season. With Wuinn being out it was the Hayes and Donald show. Getting Quinn back is a Hugh plus. Gaines can make up losing Jenkins and maybe get burned less often. McCleod is meh. Also, if our O improves the D won't be on the field the entire game.

I don't agree with the negative slant either. I'm just not sure it's as positive as you say here. Hope so...

I'm not concerned about JL because he had lost several steps. And Long had been injured that past two years. So we could have upgrades there but Ogletree is an unknown at MLB.

The secondary is where I think you start going into rose colored glasses.

Jenkins didn't get burned last year. At all!

And McLeod had a near probowl season and got paid as such. One GM said he was 2nd to Thomas at the FS position. That's not meh. The blown coverages of 2014 may come back without him back there as the last line of the D.

If I had to guess, I think the D is the same or takes a slight step back.
